Motherboard Temp for the Asus Maximus VI Formula

I was able to monitor MB temp with the Asus Maximus VI Hero but after swapping for the Maximus VI Formula, no more MB temp. Bios shows MB temp though. Perhaps next beta?

Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at:

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

 

If it doesn't help, then please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump.  Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

 

Also right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> Embedded Controller Dump.  Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

Works great! I have the motherboard temp option back again. Under sensor temps there is also a measurement for PLX temp but this board does not have a PLX chip. Could this label be measuring some other temp on the board? Thanks for all your help Fiery.

Thank you for the feedback.  In case the "PLX" temperature reading looks valid (not stuck, not showing anything unreal), then it must be another temperature reading.  Although we currently have no information on which temperature would it be.

I am also not sure which temperature it is measuring. The temperature is not fixed and appears to vary between 29C at start up and 31C after a few minutes. It goes between 30-32C. In the bios for this motherboard are temperature measurements for VRM 1, VRM 2, and VRM 3 with those temps at 25C, 21C, and 20C respectively so the PLX label does not refer to any of those. I have never seen VRM temps in the bios for any other Asus boards until this new Maximus VI Formula but it's good to see those as well. Perhaps those can be incorporated in to the sensor column sometime in the future. I'm sure the mystery will be solved some time. Thanks for all your help Fiery.

We'll rename PLX to a generic temperature label on your motherboard, and will also check if it's possible to read VRM temperatures.
