Hopefully most of those option will be obvious.  I added "Settings always on Primary Monitor" as an option so that if desired, the settings *should* always show on what your version of Windows has defined as the Primary Monitor.  This prevents being unable to see the settings because they show up on a 5" screen for example.

Intro

Right.... So I LOVE the RSLCD concept, but don't wanna keep faffing with browser blah blah.... I wanted a simple, minimal, stand-alone app I could launch 

So, in the last 6 hours, I've installed Visual Studio 2022, learned some basic c#, learned c# windows applications (Both WinForms & WPF methods), and then I've put together what I'm calling the "RSLCD Browser" .

So, here's the details for the Alpha build...

LCD > Enable RemoteSensor LCD Support -- This MUST be enabled.  Please ensure TCP/IP Port is 80 (default)

When you run the program, it will open to the top left most of your screen.  Simply drag the window anywhere you want by left clicking your mouse then dragging!  When you exit the program, it will remember it's window location the next time it restarts.  This includes size, position, and even which monitor it's on.

There's no taskbar icon, only a System Tray Icon that will show up.  Right clicking the system tray icon will give you 2 options.  Settings, and Exit.  Exit should be obvious.  Settings will open up a simple settings window where you can set the panel size.  By default it starts on 800x480.  Adjust your numbers, hit save.  the main window will automatically resize to your settings.

There is no "Title bar" or any other controls on the main window - it is purely the RSLCD Panel (Basically a web browser - it uses the webView2 component from MS)

I want to stress that this is purely an ALPHA build.  Minimalistic and crude would be an understatement 

Things to add in future versions:

- Option to set URL (Although currently AIDA64 user localost/127.0.0.1 with no option for anything else BUT this app could be used with a different remotesensor monitoring thing I guess should one exist)

- Option to set TCP/IP Port

- Option to "Run on startup"

I've only tested this on my Windows 11 PC
.NET 4.7.2 framework is required however most Windows computers will (should?) have this already.

Fair warning, it's a 20mb .exe file (ZIP Compressed to 6mb to share) - I have done zero research on optimizing etc.  This is simply the file size as it was created via Visual Studio as an AIO file (Meaning all required .dll files etc etc are packaged into the exe similar to a portable app)

I'm open to other ideas/suggestions, constructive feedback etc but PLEASE, I've learned, created, published this in like 6 hours starting from zero knowledge ha so don't expect miracles requests to happen overnight!

I have written a really basic tool to take MQTT messages from a local broker and push the values into the AIDA64 custom registry keys.

Project is really early doors but it does work, I am using it to read MQTT messages from a Tasmota power plug to give my sensor panel a total power usage value.

Feel free to take a look here, hopefully it is of use and I can work on it further.

For example I could output every second (or whatever) the temp on the USB COM port, or I could write a small DLL that reads the value from the Arduino and exposes a public method for reading the value.

I've searched through the forums but I don't see much in the way of this kind of support.

User Guide

Before you can use the tool, you have to generate an AIDA64 log file with at least the following marked settings:

• Log sensor readings to CSV log file
• UpTime

 

The tool is very simple to use: no installation necessary, just start "GenericLogViewer.exe". At the top you can select

• how many diagrams with
• how many log-files

should be presented by the tool.

 

Open an AIDA64 log file by clicking the "Open File" button, select application type "AIDA64", select an AIDA64 log file and press "Open" (AIDA64 csv-log-files have typically the filename pattern: *_log.csv). After parsing the file, the logging duration of the file is shown and by default the "Timeline" diagram of the first log category. You can change the shown diagram with:

• Timeline/Statisic RadioButton
• Log Category ComboBox
• Change all buttons (changes category in every diagram)

The Y-axis shows the values of the seleted Log Category in ComboBox (unit is within [..])

 

If an opened file is still updated with logging-data by AIDA64, you can simple update/refresh it by clicking on the "Reload"-Button:

 

 

At the top left corner of every diagram you can find the arithmetic average of the corresponding curve:

 

 

If there are too many different values on Y-axis in "Statistic" mode, the values are grouped into ranges. If this is the case, the following control is shown, which allows to increase of decrease the number of ranges (or to disable quantisation).

 

 

Splitter between the diagrams allow you to adjust the height of all diagrams:

 

 

After opening all log files you can hide the file area by unmarking "Show file area" to get more space for diagrams.

 

New feature since version 2.1: Simple Mode

I added a "two columns" feature, which doubles the number of diagrams. But if you use "two columns" with a high "number of diagrams" the diagrams are very small. That's why I introduced the "Simple mode" which:

• simplifies header and footer
• decreases line thickness

Tip: use the "Tab"-key to toggle between 'Standard' and 'Simple' mode !

 

New feature since version 3.0: Time Window Definition

If you click the "Edit"-button in the file area, a new window will be opened to define Start- and End-time of a time window for the logfile (see user guide at the top of this window). It allows you

• to show only a part of a single logfile or
• to synchronize multiple logfiles

Attention: time window start-time is "normalized" to "00:00:00", otherwise synchronization of multiple log-files will not work !

 

Button description:

• "Set": defines Start/End time of time window
• "Reset": resets Start/End time to "file borders"
• "Zoom": zooms into diagram with the actual defined Start/End times for fine-tuning (from Start-10% to End+10%). Remark: works only in case of Start/End is more then 10% from "file Start/End times")
• "Cancel": closes window without any change
• "Apply": yes, take the actual defined Start/End times as the used time window for all diagrams !

 

New features since version 4.0 (August 2018):

• possibility to compare different categories of one file in one diagram
• possibility to present diagrams in a "dark style"

If you have only file loaded, it's now possible to add up to two more ComboBoxes for category selection in any diagram. Addtional you can change the background color of the diagram  section to black.

• MSI Afterburner logs are now supported too (*.hml)
• "Statistic"-diagram got many improvements (now it works as it should)

I just bought a secondhand Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 and found out afterwards, that the Mad Catz company and their download website has closed down. I've managed to find the driver and software but I can't seem to find the sdk or api (or what it's called). I would like to monitor my temps on the screen and I therefore need the strike7api.dll in order to do that. Can anybody help with where I can obtain or possibly send it to my?

On my Octo, i would like to display the total power (Watt) on my sensor panel. Its my understanding that Aida64 gets its data directly from the devices, so why isnt this data available ?

This applies to other Aquacomputer devices such as the Farbwerk360 for which Aida doesnt show total power, led amperage, etc....

Anything to activate ?

I recently purchased an Aquacomputer Leakshield and have seen that the liquid level, for example, is also output in AIDA. I wonder if it is possible to also display the applied negative pressure in mbar?

Is the same amount of customization available on EVE3 displays?
Any benefit to getting one with touchscreen, can that be used to do anything?
Any benefit to adding NOR flash of 32Mb or 128Mb?

I've been using a very old 2x20 alphanumeric display in a 5.25" bay with LCD Smartie for years and it's looking dated in comparison.  Considering to replace it with a Matrix Orbital EVE3x-39G or 39A.

I was wondering if there is some way to add new information to AIDA64 to monitor. I have 2 use cases for this.

1. Adding the ability to view hashrate from t-rex miner.
2. Showing virtual sensor data from Aquasuite

Would AIDA64 read information back from any of the mechanisms that it uses to share data externally? (Shared memory, Registry, WIM?)

I put the LUIse.dll in the aida64 installation directory but when I go to select the display in the settings it tells me that it does not find the .dll but how is this possible? I also remember that a few years ago I always worked with aida64 without problems ... help?

I have had my H115i for a while now and when installing Aida 64 I set up the sensor panel and noticed that the USB to the cooler keeps disconnecting. I fixed that by disabling all the Corsair Sensor support in the Stability tab. When i want to display my CPU fan speed on the sensor panel it gives a reading of anything between 3500 and 10k RPM which is clearly not true. How do i fix that and display the right CPU fan speed?

I got Intel Cryo Cooler running and I love it, I would love to have the data on Aida64 for all the obvious reasons.

I got a serial port monitor running on it and I see the data flow but I do not know how to interpolate it to the desired numbers - Ambient, Humidity, Cooler Temp, Dew point and Power draw.

Can I get and help here ?

They say, it can read Aida64 sensor information. What does it mean ? Can this LCD show Aida64 information exactly the same way as Logitech G19 LCD ?

And which LCD support i need to select from Aida64 Preferences under LCD section ?

Below is a function w/ a working example showing how to access the AIDA64 shared memory.

First enable shared memory here: Preferences > Hardware Monitoring > External Applications > Enable Shared Memory

The length of the data depends on the number of active sensors and their content. As AIDA64 does not provide a buffer size value, we use _WinAPI_GetSystemInfo() <WinAPISys.au3> to get dwPageSize ($aArray[1]). This value is then used as an address offset, and we continue reading chunks of data until we encounter a 0x00 NUL character.

Feedback appreciated, especially as all this shared memory stuff is not my ordinary cup of... cake. And regarding this whole ordeal of reading data without knowing the exact length; I'm suspecting my solution to read chunks of data like done below is not by the book, and I'm concerned what might happen if the final chunk is exactly 4096 bytes in length. Will there still be a NUL terminator there? Hmm.
