  1. Well the fan speeds showed after i turned off the cam software but i think that might turn off the custom fan profiles?

Also noticed with the cam software on my disk activity in AIDA went away.

Anyway, cam software often looses connectivity with the individual fans and sometimes a fan will speed up to full for no reason.

I never have any of these problems with my MB fan controller so the NZXT GRID+ V2 is officially awarded with the esteemed designation of

    PIECE OF CRAP!

  2. Well i finally got my RMA back. Installed the fan controler and cam software and drivers.

Installed beta version of AIDA64 and turned on grid monitoring.

Sensor panel would frequently not refresh to reflect changes, ie moving an item while CAM software was active.

Would sporadically show fans 21 to 26, i have 5 fans plugged in with the first fan controller (20) not used.

Have not successfully gotten fan speeds to display in AIDA64.

Hoping this is fixable as the cam software is not customizable and, subjectively, a little ugly.

I have always found the fan controller on the mb to work well.

the only reason im using this grid thing is because it allows fan speeds to be individually controlled by cpu or gpu.

looking forward to the day when this is available on mb controllers.

p.s.- when i sent in my aforementioned comment to nzxt i got a reply from george perez stating...

"Oh yes we can go ahead and do that sir no problem whatsoever that would be

great to collaborate with a third party software i can go ahead and

forward this to our Development team."

Not only is his punctuation nonexistant, but i think he was being sarcastic!

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  3. Hello Fiery

I unfortunately had to do an RMA for the GRID+ V2.

In its little monitor program the wattage used and RPM for the 5 fans attached went out of bounds and a 6th ghost fan was shown as being attached.

At this point i shut down the pc and removed the device.

I really like being able to set individual fans to respond to either the CPU or GPU so im going to try again.

So in my RMA to NZXT i said this...

There is a program called AIDA64 Extreme which im sure is popular among the people who would buy the GRID+ V2.

It would be nice to be able to show the fan speeds from the GRID+ V2 in AIDA64.
I know the people at AIDA64 would be very happy to do this if provided the pertinent information.

I hope my assumption that this would be welcome by you is correct.
  4. Oh my hopes soared so high upon the reading of your suggestion.

    I installed this file...

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver,   f6flpy-x64.zip

Reboot and nothing changed. I don't know if it even matters but the Volume would still not populate in  Device Manager / Disk Drives.

Thank you for your continued efforts.

P.S. Finally got that leprechaun to talk and upgraded to AIDA64 v5.5!

    All%20tied%20up_zpstzfrpkzc.jpg

  5. went to Device Manager and the two seagate 3gb drives are listed under Disk Drives but when i open the properties and go to volumes tab and hit Populate an error appears "Volume information for this disk cannot be found".

also under Disk Drives is listed the Microsoft Storage Space Device. under the Properties / Volumes for that it does populate.

seems as if windows is hiding the physical drives for the Storage Spaces.

  6. Hello Fiery

    Thank you for your reply.

1- Same, just did a system reinstall. Same sata/raid drivers.

2- i have never directly edited that file but my preferences settings in AIDA were the same.

    3- <engage sense of humor 1.2> don't quit yer day job. ;-)

as i am still using 8.1, which is what my current version of AIDA was written for, i see no need to upgrade .

i imagine i will eventually move to win10 (for DX12)but i will still try to flog my current version of

AIDA  as my money tree was plowed down when they built the new wall-mart next door.

but i promise that as soon as i get that leprechaun i have tied up in the basement to tell me where his pot of gold is i will certainly upgrade.

i still give AIDA64 10/10 and recommend it to all my OCD control freak friends.

  7. Well here's a weird one. I have two 3TB seagates and applied windows storage spaces to them.

They mirrored fine, seemed like a simpler solution than raid.

Then i did a system re-install and windows seemed to re-mount the drives automatically without any trouble.

The only thing that changed was the sensor panel no longer showed temp info for those two physical drives.

After Storage Spaces and before System Re-install...

After Re-install with Storage Spaces functioning...

    sample2_zpsaekryzws.jpg

The thin green line is utilization for Drive E which i think must be the Storage Spaces drive.

In Sensor Panel, Modify Item, Utilization the list shows drives C,D,E, and H which would be optical.

But the Temp readings have gone...

    fred%20panel3_zpsowatvilw.jpg

Only my C drive Samsung and my D drive W.D. show in Temp.

In AIDA64 Physical Drives they show...

    sample3_zpsxahm7j1e.jpg

Drive 3 & 4, the two physical drives show as does the storage space applied to them Drive 5.

    Here are my system specs...

    CPU - Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core (viciously O.C. to 3.3GHz)
    Motherboard - Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150

This Noob thanks you for any help.

  8. I have 2 HD7770s one is a

Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB

    and the other a

    GIGABYTE GV-R777OC-1GB.

when i run the GPGPU benchmark the gigabyte (GPU1) is noticeably faster.

Would this be because of differences in the cards or because of differences in how they are used?

I guess if i dont get an answer here i will have to take them out and reverse their order, oh the MB is an

    Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150

  9. Thanks for the work around Fiery. It worked.

The following also works for amd cards...

Apparently the missing gpu problem is caused by ULPS which saves power by turning off the 2nd card.

This can be disabled in registry by searching for all instances of "EnableULPS" and changing the value from 1 (enabled) to 0 (disabled).

    Do not change setting "EnableULPS_NA".

    Love the panel!   :D

  10. Love the panel!  :D

    i have 2 1GB HD7770s on an Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 and apparently if windows doesn't need

the second card it is actually powered off.

When i start windows and then AIDA64 Extreme Panel it shows GPU2 Diode as N/A and the bar for GPU2 Fan Speed

is missing altogether, which is understandable since the card is unpowered (but it would be nice,

aesthetically, if the GPU2 Fan Speed bar didn't disappear completely).

This does not change when i start an application that initiates the second card.

i have to shut down AIDA64 and restart it to get the panel to once again show GPU2 Diode temp

    and GPU2 Fan Speed.

Now after i have restarted AIDA64 with GPU2 powered and have GPU2 info showing in the panel if i shut the app down and GPU2 is powered off it, of course, goes back to no info for GPU2.

But, at this point, if i restart the prog that initiates the second card then AIDA64 updates and properly shows the GPU2 Diode and GPU2 Fan Speed info without restarting AIDA64. So it seems it will only update and show the temp and fan speed

for GPU2 if it has seen the card already but not if the card appears "out of the blue".

    Would this be a "bug"?

Here is after boot without GPU2 powered

Here is after boot with GPU2 powered.

Each card is 1GB and the Video Mem

guage shows over 1GB of memory used

    indicating that GPU2 is powered.

(this is not the only indicator i have for GPU2 being powered)

Here is after restarting AIDA64 while

GPU2 is powered, everything is now working.

I too would like to see the sensorpanel file for luvsmobile.

Here is my second try, yes i have too much time on my hands. ;-)

After getting conflicting information on which sensor in AIDA64

represented the Intel Tcase temperature (Motherboard, CPU),

I decided to treat core temp as the Tcase limit for safety.
