update....
Aida is seeing Sys_Fan.. Its fan_#1 thats not being seen... What you have as fan#1 should be fan#2..
thanks
-
Hi Fiery,
I just took a screen shot of Gigabytes easy tune.. Easy tune can see the sys_fan and controll it with no problems. which i assume is being read by gigabytes Acpi.
Let me know your thoughts.
-
Hi Fiery,
Just downloaded, Will test now and pass back my feedback.
That was a quick fix too.. Im impressed.!
-
These are ruff estimates on rpms from bios.
Cpu_Fan = 4500rpm / CPU PUMP
Sys_Fan = 1200rpm+ / 120mm rear exhaust
Fan_#1 = 700rpm / 200mm Side panel fan
Fan_#2 = 700rpm / 200mm front panel intake
Fan_#3 = 4500rpm / GPU Pump
Some of these senors are the wrong way around too and fan#1 has no current reading on rpm senor in bios which im thinking is a bug in the bios as the fan is working but no sensor info.
Let me know if there is any other info you need.
Regards
-
Will get back to you in the next 10mins on what readings should be.. I know this board has a problem with fan sensor #1 and not showing the rpm. Have sent a request to gigabyte to have a look at this.
Talk in 10..
Thank

Hi Fiery,
A few things that are not correct with Aida64 and Gigabyte Assassin.
1. System Fan Is Missing.
2. Fan #2 is missing.
3. Cpu Fan is reading wrong RPM.
4. Fans #1& 3 are the wrong way around.
I doing more tests to check that Aida64 is showing other sensor readings correctly.
Regards

Fiery,
I'm upgrading my mobo to one of the gigabyte g1 series Is their full support for all 3 models?
thanks
-
When you restart your system, those counters are all resetted to zero (by Windows itself, since Windows manages those counters). You should not restart Windows between making screen shots about this matter.
OK, Just going by what you say when installing betas . Will do this alittle later as i have to go to a meeting now which should only last for about 2hrs.
Thanks
-
Here is capture3 right after i have un-installed v1.2 and restarted. I doubt very much i have a problem with my system as This OS is a new install with just my work tools (Adobe masters, Cinema 4D, 3dsmax etc, I have NO other noticeable problems expect with Aida64.
-
Here you go Fiery, Capture1 shows latest Beta with NO activity on pagefile. Capture2 shows Aida v1.2.xx with pagefile activity info being shown except the utilization info.
-
AIDA64 collects pagefile info using standard Windows API call NtQuerySystemInformation (1st parameter = SystemPageFileInformation). In case it reports unexpected values on your system, it's not the fault of AIDA64.
The previous issue (when pagefile utilization lines did not display for a while) was because AIDA64 didn't bother to display "0 MB / 0 MB" lines. As soon as the utilization climbed up from zero, it displayed those lines. Now it is changed, so even zero utilization is shown.
Sorry Fiery, But i don't understand what you mean by "it's not Aida's fault". A few builds back i DID NOT have this problem with pagefile activity been shown in Aida. A problem gets reported by 2 users then you create a fix for the problem and now your saying that this problem is not related to Aida.? But a few builds back this was never a problem! Personally, i have not changed anything else in my system so i cant work out why it's not Aida's fault.?
Fiery pls note I'm not trying to flame an argument here just don't understand some of your comments.!
Thanks

Windows 7 limits the use of the page file a great deal, it will allow system ram to fill up completely before swapping inactive but loaded content to paging.
Of which I'm fully aware off. BUT... as i stated in previous post i use Prem pro & After effects which are Pagefile dependent programs, I loaded a project (stacked with video) and i can clearly see that the pagepage is being used whilst running Prem pro. (Pagefile is assigned to a scratch disk) So Aida should be able to see this activity and clearly in my case it's not.!
-
Are you sure with over 10 GBytes of free physical memory Adobe Premiere would use pagefile?
Hi Fiery,
yes I'm 100% sure Adobe Prem.Pro & A.Effects uses Paging. But i do have some good news, I done a complete uninstall of Aida then reinstalled the Latest Beta, I then had Aida register activity of my pagefile. But............ I just loaded this system this morning and checked, and it seems Aida64 is not registering any activity on pagefile again. i know the page file is in use as i have placed it on another drive (scratch dsk) and i have a gadget which shows me my drive activities. Basically it's looking like Aida is randomly showing paging usage. Going to try on main system and report back.! Also fiery not sure if the following has anything to do with the problem, i have placed my Pagefile.sys onto my D: drive which is configured to raid0. 2*500gb.
Thanks

The info is now displayed but there is no activity being registered in Aida. Seems the "Current/Peak Usage & Utilization" has no movement. I have tried using Premier Pro which is a pagefile dependent, and still see no activity in Aida64. (V xx.1241). Snapshot inc shows the Pagefile "current/Peak Usage & Utilization" is fixed to 0MB & 0%.

After 3 hrs running the pagefile info finally decided to show . Still waiting on main comp to see in pagefile info does show, so far it has been about 3.5 hrs.
S/L,
Where did you get that "creation error" from? what page?
-
Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the missing items to appear.
Info does not apair at all. I can leave app open for an hour and no info will appair . Just tried this on main comp and have the same problem.
-
Problem not solved for me.!
Will check this on main comp later on this afternoon and post results.!
P.S, My pagefile is installed onto my (D:) Drive which is a raid0 config'd drive. (2*500gb)

I can confirm that the paging file has a problem. I'm currently missing "Current/Peak Usage" & "Utilization". Using latest beta (xx.1230)this also happens in previous beta (xx.1224)but not in any versions pre .1224

266.35 and .44 are both broken drivers, anything over 4xAA and you will get white screens, TDR's and bsods.
Fully aware of that.. But seeing as i dont use my comps to run games it doesnt effect me.!
-
Neither 266.44 or 266.35 are whql. and as far as I'm aware 266.44 is not an official nVida beta release not via there website anyways. only using win7 64. If i go back to version 1.50.1212 all is running OK. Soon as i run the latest beta i get this Violation & Display driver problem.!

Hi Fiery,
with latest beta I'm unable to use with this system. Its seems to be interfering with the nVidia forceware driver (266.35), constantly getting a driver display crash with this beta version installed. the following info is taken from the event viewer based on the display crash. Hope this info helps.

Funny you ask that cause i was just checking to see what maybe causing it... It seems to be happening when OSD is activated. Im also getting display driver crashes too.

Hi Fiery,
Another thing i just noticed.. when Cpu is @ idle i get temps @ 33c which is about 10c high. But when i run Aidia stress test im cpu only jumps to 38-39c.. 5c difference under full load is not right.
Please advise..
Regards
Seems Aida is using more than normal CPU cycles too.. See pic.. With Aida running and with out Aida running
