Hi Fiery,

New motherboard to pester you with :), the Asus Strix X99 Gaming. The fan and NIC/Ethernet readings seem off, in particular:

- 0 rpm reading for CPU Opt fan (could be a misnomer for , as I do have one fan usually at 0 unless temps go up)

- No reading for water pump fan

- 0 KB/s readings for the NIC/Ethernet device

Let me know if you need something. Thanks!

1) CPU OPT fan should appear as soon as it starts spinning.

2) Water Pump fan: please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first.

Also right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> Embedded Controller Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post.

3) NIC reading issues are usually due to you're not using the right NIC. Modern Windows computers tend to have multiple NICs, including virtual ones and special use ones. Make sure to check all NICs Windows manages for you ;)

Thanks,

Fiery

Hi Fiery!

Dang, I forgot about the wi-fi I had disabled! I guess it still shows up. Been too involved with all the new board and overclocking stuff! Sure enough, the Ethernet is NIC2,

The fans are a weird case. I connect the cooling pump tach to the CPU Opt, easy to spot because it's 4700+ RPM, no show, but does show in the BIOS. Two others have different names in the Strix: Water_Pump and High_Amp respectfully. High_Amp is labeled CPU Opt in Aida. Water_Pump shows as Chassis Fan 4. The real CPU Opt doesn't show.

Here are the dumps. Thanks again!
