Asus MAXIMUS IX APEX (Adding a monitoring option)

Recommended Posts

Thank you for the report!  Reading that temperature would involve EC (Embedded Controller) bank switching, which is a dangerous thing to pull off, especially when AI Suite is installed. Or when AI Suite may leave behind its services after uninstallation...

I do not use utilities from Asus (including AI Suite)

Perhaps it is worth making a separate option to enable monitoring "Preferences/Stability/Asus Embedded Controller Support"? ;)

We've implemented Asus EC bank switching in the latest AIDA64 beta build:

https://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta

You need to enable both Embedded Controller (EC) support and Embedded Controller (EC) bank switching in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Stability.  That will unlock a few additional sensor readings on your motherboard.  Make sure to not have Asus AI Suite or any of its background services installed on your system.  If you have any of those left around, a collision may occur while AIDA64 tries to perform EC bank switching, and it may just cause a system lockup or sudden system restart.

Hello

Aida64 can not recognize the M2 put on the DIMM.2 and indicated their temperatures ?
As M2 put on M2 ports or on PCIe cards

EDIT: it seems that is already the case, I have not yet mounted the M2 on the DIMM.2

We've never tried that, so would love to hear some feedbacks on such a configuration.

It's ok with M2 on DIMM2 and temperature ;)

Thank you for the feedback ;)
