fixed: Incorrect Sensor Readings (Gigabyte Z270X-Gaming 9)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can you please help me. I just bought this new motherboard Gigabyte Z270X GAMING 9 but aida64 is reading some sensors incorrectly. I have attached the dumps below and a screenshot of aida64 sensor readings. Thankaida64.thumb.jpg.fbb391f758e86a474ff1726aed586ec4.jpg you, really appreciated.

We will fix the issue in the next AIDA64 beta update due in a few days from now.  I'll post a message into this topic once the new beta build is available for download.

Thank you Fiery, the latest version is working perfect. One question though, I have two temperature sensor headers on my board with thermistor cables connected to them but the latest aida64 doesn't seem to be reading them. I think the  -55 °C readings in the screenshot above were of these two sensors before I connected the cables. Is there any chance this can be fixed?

-55 Celsius means the headers are not connected or are not able to measure a proper thermal value.  In the new build we've simply hidden those incorrect readings to avoid confusion.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Would it be possible to reintroduce those -55°C readings now that I've connected those cables and the readings are correct?

Once those temperature rails can measure a non-minus55C value, AIDA64 will automatically show them.

The updated version of AIDA64 doesn't show the readings when I connect the thermistor cables but the previous version which read -55C does.

With the latest version of AIDA64 (v5.97) please post an updated ISA Sensor Dump, so we can check the registers as they look now with the thermistor cable connected.

Sorry for the delay. Here is the ISA Sensor Dump with thermistor cables connected as requested.

I noticed aida64 shows Temperature #1 (Motherboard) which is thermistor 2 (Gigabyte SIV labels it EC__TEMP2) so aida64 should read Temperature #2 (Motherboard). Anyway, the other thermistor reading is missing.aida64.jpg.dbe124451c1c6dba51bae60bc614cad8.jpg

Check in the BIOS if that sensor shows a weird value, a straight zero or something negative.

The bios and SIV report the temps correctly.

Sorry to trouble you again. I just added some fans to my case and realised some are labelled incorrectly:

AIDA64                                            Gigabyte SIV

cpu                       should be               cpu

cpu opt                should be               chassis #5

chassis #1          should be               chassis #3

chassis #2          should be               chassis #2

chassis #3          should be               chassis #1

chassis #4          should be               chassis #6

chassis #5          should be               chassis #4

missing               should be               cpu opt

Thank you.

Thank you, that's a very useful breakdown of the labelling issues.  Please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme available at:

Let me know how it works ;)

So after the recent update my sensor panel no longer shows a sensor reading for my water pump or radiator temp. Is that a Windows update problem or Aida64 ? The radiator temp now reads N/C and the pump sits at zero. But I know the pump is working cause my cpu is at 36 C and it's clocked at 5000mhz. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

By the way i own also a ADAPTEC HBA 1100-24I SINGLE Raidcontroller and the Temp also not showen....

      hello,

my native language is german, i hope my english is understandable.

The Problem is, when i use my "aorus Graphic Engine" to control my 1080TI's leds, doesnt works anymore when i have aida64 in autostart.

when i delete aida654 in my autostart the "Aorus graphics engine" works well.
I tried to make a delayed start of aida64 but this didnt work.

i need both programs, aida for my sensorpanel on the second screen, and aorus graphics engine to control my graphics card.

      any ideas ?

Hi fiery, is it possible you could correct the sensor readings for my motherboard (GA-B250-HD3P)? Many thanks.
