CPU Temp is 197C, but cores are at 30C

Recommended Posts

Hi. So I just finished replacing my motherboard and cpu with new ones - mobo (H81M VG4) and cpu(i5 4570). I fired up AIDA 64 Extreme and went to see my idle temps. I clicked on system > statistics and this is what I saw : https://prnt.sc/m0yy54 . The cpu temp is stuck at 197, but everything else is fine. Could the issue be something in the CPU or is it a bug? Thanks

Most likely the real CPU temperature is labelled incorrectly as either Motherboard or Aux.  Please check those temperatures at both idle and under heavy load, and let us know which one you think would be the real CPU temperature reading.

No. The mobo temp is always 25-27. Anyway i reinstalled the program - same thing. I Installed HWMonitor and there my temps are absolutely fine. I think its a bug with this very specific combination of a motherboard and a cpu. You guys should look into it.

Please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first.

Thanks,
Fiery
