Thread creation error (ASUS M5A97-EVO)

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem described in a couple of other threads.

Thread creation error. Not enough storage is available to process this command

The first thing that happens is the GPU VDD disappears in sensor page, then my G15 LCD screen displays 0.00v and completely freezes.

On closer inspection with Process Explorer I could see aida64.exe was hung at 25% CPU load and using 115 threads. Not sure if this thread count is normal but it seems very high to me.

I'm also getting access violation errors like this one:

Not using AI Suite, not running RAID. No external devices except G15 keyboard and G500 mouse.

Using latest AIDA64 build October 1.

Specs:

ASUS M5A97-EVO

Phenom II 955

HD 6950

8GB DDR3

Hope this info helps.

Thanks

1) Do you use Win7 SP1 64-bit?

2) Have you ever had Asus AI Suite installed? Even when you uninstall it, some pieces (drivers, services) may be left off, causing collisions with AIDA64 in the background.

3) Are you running any other monitoring software while using AIDA64?

Thanks,

Fiery

Yes.

Yes, but this was quite some time ago. I have used prob at least 5 newer builds of AIDA64 since then without issue. Only in the last couple of days this has been occurring.

3) Are you running any other monitoring software while using AIDA64?

Yes - I use Radeon Pro and MSI Afterburner to monitor FPS, GPU clock speed and GPU load etc, but only AIDA64 for GPU voltage.

Thanks,

Fiery

Thanks.
