  1. I checked it out and it’s not bad.  And while I’m tempted there is a couple factors… one of which is a deal killer I’m afraid.

    1.  The deal killer.  I’m in Canada, and that product tells me it won’t ship here. :(

    2.  I had hoped to keep it to 5 inch.  That said, I could do a 6 inch… it’s not that far off for a good price. (oh yeah, nearly forgot to do conversion on that price lol)

    3. I had hoped to not have to run an hdmi through the tower… for where I wished to mount it. (I hoped to mount in the 2 empty 5.25” bays I have available…yeah, one of those cases lol)

    thanks however!

  2. So my first foreye into aida64 was a 3.5 inch usb screen.  Works great, but it’s too small, and I feel I need just a little more space (for now…) and with prime days being on currently I thought I’d ask here… especially seeing as the LAST TWO 5 inch IPS USBc displays I got turned out to be unsupported Turing 5’s (turzx).

which did nothing but waste my time…

anyways, every time I come across a 5 inch it seems to have “aida64 not needed” after claiming “for aida64” in the actual product name/listing.

so I’m asking here…. Do any of you have a trusted verified Amazon link to one that’ll work?

If not, I’d even welcome an alternative source (not eBay ugh) for a usbc only display.

    Thanks.

(hopefully this is okay to post here…)

Suggestion for those that make panels.....

I would love to be able to create "groups" that could be minimized like folders.  So, group your CPU, GPU, etc.

Alternately, if that's not easy, maybe just a "BLANK" sensor you could use to break up the long list of monitors.  And the Desc, Type are BLANK or ***BLANK*** or ###BLANK### something so it stands out and easily spotted when scrolling.  Just so it's easier to see where each section starts and ends.  For me, I like to put items in order as they are viewed...so maybe working left to right, or top to bottom.  A lot of designers make panels with drawn sections in the background, so BLANK between those helps mental organization to make sure everything is lining up or scattered, etc.

This might not be a big issue for those that only use the same small group of monitors and maybe I am just getting picky as I start my journey.  I made a panel with every single sensor just so I could get a feel for what it displays on my system and if I even care about that metric for a monitor setup....so maybe I am just crazy.   Thoughts?

Here here… I keep getting lost in which line is for where as it’s not exactly clear most times…. Tho to be fair it’d be nice to be able to turn a group on and off to flip between gauges etc… like do I need my list of drive meters (I have like 7 drives with like 10 partitions) when I decide to game, I’d like to watch my two GPU’s instead… GPU could insert into said slot without a reload of a sensors panel mod.

I run an LCD RemoteSensor and I second the idea for listing running processes.  I run the RemoteSensor to view stats on network PC's.  It would be cool to have another page of the remote sensor show running processes, or services, event logs, or anything.  Maybe it could even be a console window and display the output of any command.  Thanks!

I can think of a few ideas for a (cockpit/pilot) sensor panel design where it could refresh certain things like running tasks, or scheduled processes that just ran…  hell system events in general…

not sure how much processing power that might suck back tho…

In order to enable such a feature, it would be necessary to re-render the SensorPanel 30 or more times a second, which would put quite a load on the system.  And certain users already complain about the "high" (2 or 3%) CPU load that the monitoring and SensorPanel rendering layer of AIDA64 puts on the system. So I'm afraid we're not planning to implement the requested feature.

Couldn’t it just be a feature you enable in preferences for those that really want to use that 2-5% processing power?

sure it’d be a cool feature to have… but I’m not married to it either way.

  6. is it possible to do a wraparound for these variables?

    Example:

    $MOBOMODEL

This currently outputs for me a one line string.  "Asus TUF Gaming x570-Plus" which is a little long depending on your panel.

I'd like to wrap it around more like

    Asus TUF Gaming
    x570-Plus

Anyway to do this now?  Can it be included in the future? (Same for the other variables?)

    Side note, I have 2 GPU's but there isn't a $GPU2MODEL ?

    Thanks
