Hello!
I have a Seagete Barracuda HDD (ST1000DM010-2EP102) and it makes a clicking/ticking sound every 20 seconds when AIDA is checking its temperature.
If I set "Disk temperature polling frequency" to for example 60 seconds it starts ticking every 60 seconds as I expected.
But surprisingly if I set it to 9 seconds the noise completely stops. I guess it has something to do with the head-parking mechanism.
I have doubts: is it safe to poll the temperature every 9 seconds or it can cause a damage to my HDD?
