I installed a very recent trial version and decided not to purchase because it kept locking up my computer. I have a Radeon 6950XT and an 8.8" secondary monitor (HDMI connected). The computer appears to keep working, but the screen is locked up and I have to tap the power button which causes Win10 to gracefully shut down. I have tried unplugging my monitor and re-plugging it back in, but it just gives me the frozen display again. I see many other posts reporting this (or a very similar issue) that only seems to affect AMD GPUs. I don't want to hand over $60 for software I can't use. Since the trial is up, I can no longer test new versions myself to find out. It seems like it's been an issue for years because I found a thread about AMD lockups from 2021. Is this problem being actively investigated?

Apologies for necro'ing this thread, but... It's now June of 2025. I have a Ryzen 3900 and a Radeon 6950XT using an 8.8" secondary monitor for the status display. I just started using AIDA64 Extreme and I'm having these exact same lockups (my computer does not lock up otherwise). So, for anyone coming to this thread via Google search like I did...this is still a thing. Looks like I won't be spending my $$$ on Aida64 Extreme Edition. Thank you, Michel, for posting this before I gave them my money.
