I'm getting really weird temperature readings on my i5-4690. This is (I think) causing my BIOS to spin my fans far too quickly.
Temperatures
CPU37 °C (99 °F)
CPU Package78 °C (172 °F)
CPU IA Cores35 °C (95 °F)
CPU GT Cores78 °C (172 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #134 °C (93 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #233 °C (91 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #333 °C (91 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #435 °C (95 °F)
PCH Diode40 °C (104 °F)
GPU Diode31 °C (88 °F)
This is at idle. Why is the integrated graphics (Intel HD 4400) running so hot when the cpu cores are all fine? I have a good cooler (Coolermaster Seidon 120M). As a result the 'package' temperature is over 40 degrees hotter than the hottest core.
It is even more odd because I have a discrete graphics card, so I don't even use integrated graphics.
What is the problem? Bad temperature sensor? Faulty CPU? Bad application of thermal paste?
