  1. Hi,

I haven't used the Remote Sensor for a while, but successfully used it on my old Win 7 setup last year, using my IPad as a monitor .

I'm now running Win 10 (on a new SSD)  and I've just tried using this again for the first time with this OS, but without success. Since my old Win 7 SSD is still in my PC I have been able to boot from this and try a few things with various versions of AIDA as follows:

    Win 7:

    V. 5.30.3516:  works using localhost & remotely (IPad)

    V. 5.60.3739:  works using localhost & remotely (IPad)

    V. 5.70.3800: does not work at all

    Win 10:

All of the above versions: does not work at all

Since I can't even access this via Localhost I'm guessing this can't be a port / firewall / router issue.

    Any ideas?

  2. Hi Fiery,

I have finally gotten around to designing a sensor panel to replace my aging Windows 7 sidebar gadgets. I have to say the sensor panel is really great, but I have a couple of requests. :)

I am monitoring the download rate of my network card and the unit is in kilobytes per second (KB/s). I am mainly using this to see what download speed I am getting from the web so a figure in Megabits per second (Mb/s) would be more useful. Others may want to monitor the internal network traffic so MB/s may be more meaningful. In the sensor panel manager you can change the unit from the default KB/s to any other string of text but of course this only affects the text displayed after the reading, it does not do a conversion. So I was wondering whether Aida could convert the reading if a legitimate unit was entered. E.G. a value of 12500 becomes 100 if Mb/s is entered in the unit field. If a non recognised unit is entered then no conversion would be done. Alternatively you could have a drop down box with various pre-defined units, or the units could be set in Aida's main preference page.

Secondly, I would like to echo the request of Garfunkel above. I have set up a line graph for network traffic with a maximum value of 19000 entered (representing my maximum download speed from my ISP of 152Mb/s). This is fine until I transfer files to and from my NAS when the line of the graph covers other parts of the sensor panel! Could this be changed so that the line is never displayed outside of the predefined graph area, so even if the reading is higher than the set maximum value the line just maxes out at the top? In the attached, see the yellow line rising from the graph at the bottom of my sensor panel.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. I’ve just built a new system with an Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe M/B and have experienced 3 power-offs in a week. Luckily I came across this thread otherwise I would be pulling my system apart right now.

I have the full AI Suite II (latest version) installed and always have AIDA64 running. I’m using Fan Xpert 2 to control my case fans since there is no option in the BIOS configuration to completely shutoff these fans below a certain temperature (min speed is 60%).

I was running the stable 2.85 release of AIDA64 although last night installed the latest beta (build 2412). No power-offs since the beta install but then it’s not been running for long. Both Asus options in Aida’s stability menu are checked.

Is there anything more that can be done with AIDA64 to overcome this problem, or is my only option to uninstall the AI Suite and find another fan control program?
