[Unable to use extended ASCII characters on sensor panel]

I tried using extended ASCII characters in a static label but AIDA64 converts them to base ASCII.  Using extended characters would allow me to "draw" boxes around sensor groupings without using a background.  Just wondering why it doesn't work.

I would like to be able to use the mouse or a touch screen to drill-down to other statistics.  As an example, let's say that my main sensor panel has a gauge that displays CPU utilization.  Clicking on the CPU gauge causes AIDA64 to import a sub-panel that contains utilization graphs for each thread.  Then to exit the drill-down, use something like an "Exit" button on the sub-panel that re-imports the main panel.  It doesn't seem like this would be difficult to implement, but I have no idea of the code complexity behind ADIA64 sensor panel implementation.
