I'm getting lost again, but ... the above mentioned new AIDA64 beta update is available for download at:

    https://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

Please let us know how it works about the CPU temperature ;)

    Yes, it's ok now :D

I can easily see it because I've set my chassis fan1 to work when CPU temperature reaches to 40C

    Thanks a lot

Okay, but I think we need to apply such a fix for the particular BIOS version you've got installed right now.  Going back and forth about updating temperature register indexes is a messy process.  Please post an up-to-date ISA Sensor Dump, and we'll revert the CPU temperature register index to the one we've used in AIDA64 v5.80.  Let me know if the motherboard temperature is wrong too.

For now, only CPU temperature is wrong

  3. I'm still trying to report the problem to Asus but they're so lazy!

    Pj03jqih.jpg

They said: "If the customer wants more accurate temperature gauge, please use HWinfo64.  We do not have any more software revision for this motherboard."

Then they confirm that Ai Suite 3 is crap  so we shouldn't care about Ai Suite 3 at all.

I'm not sure how that issue affects AIDA64. Can you please tell us more about the readings in AIDA64? Do we need to fix anything? :)

CPU temperature was fine in old v5.80 but in newer versions, hope you can fix it :(

    Everything is fine in BIOS:

  4. From Asus:

    Quote

I believe the VRM temperature in AI Suite/BIOS should be named PCH temperature and VRM/CPU temperatures are wrong.
Hope Asus fixes this critical problem soon.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Thank you so much for bringing this issue to our notice.I will certainly notify the issue to the concerened team. Hopefully it will be fixed in upcoming BIOS release.

  5. Unfortunately, the latest beta version didn't help too. CPU/VRM temps are stuck at 38/43C but no problem with final version :(

    1) https://www.sendspace.com/file/4r3exz

    2) Done

    3) https://www.sendspace.com/file/2hzotc

    4) Omg, Asus Ai Suite reports them incorrectly too same as beta versions of AIDA64

I'm sure those are incorrect since the CPU temp changes only between 38-39 while idle and FPU-only stress test

Got this warning with HWiNFO64 too but HWiNFO64 reports temperatures correctly in both cases:

    CPU (PECI) = VRM

So you shouldn't follow Asus. I'll report the bug to them later <_<

EDIT2: I feel the temperatures in BIOS are wrong too same as Ai Suite x)

  6. iGPU temperature is reported by the ACPI BIOS as video adapter temperature. I'm not sure what would it refer to, but since it is specifically reported as video adapter temperature, I'd hesitate to alter the label.

We'll remove the GPU fan duty cycle reading for both Studio 1537 and Vostro 1500 in the next AIDA64 beta update.

Just checked the latest version of AIDA64 on Studio 1537 but the GPU fan duty cycle still exists

  7. That's what the Dell SMI interface reports for your fans ;) We'll remove those readings in the next AIDA64 beta update.

Thanks, GPU Fan is stuck at 0% too

And another laptop, Dell Studio 1537

    Dump files: https://www.sendspace.com/file/agemqf

There's an iGPU diode while the laptop doesn't have any onboard GPU, only HD3450

And the GPU Fan is stuck at 30% while the laptop has only one fan which is the CPU (System) fan:

  8. We can only add that in case the BIOS Setup or Gigabyte's own software also shows the reading as PCH temperature. Otherwise it's just pure guessing ;)

There's no PCH temperature in some Asus BIOS but exists in AIDA64

Can't it be possible for Gigabyte too?
