  1. Well, going to see if I can successfully flash the firmware on my BeadaPanel. It will allow me to display not only Aida64, but the desktop as well. Not as straight forward as flashing most other PC devices that is for sure. Has anyone here done it? I have a question. The instructions say to short out a pair of jumpers using tweezers or a wire while powered on. I am not certain if I am supposed to just 'momentarily' short the jumper, or it must remain shorted during the flashing process. Hope I dont brick it. LOL EDIT: Well, flash went well. And yes, J2-1 and J2-2 must remain shorted during process. Instructions indicate to power up display prior to shorting jumpers. Dont power up first. Short J2-1 and J2-2 prior to powering up the display. Otherwise you will have to unplug it and power it up again anyways. I havent installed the Windows driver yet. That looks to be a project in itself. Does not look like fun.
  2. Wow. Looks great. I really like your original gauges and designs. Great work and thanks for sharing. I wish my display wasnt an odd-ball resolution (1280X480 BeadaPanel). I have to modify most panels to work. Not complaining. I envy your graphical skills and creativity, and that of some others here. I realize there is a lot of work that goes into creating a panel. I have created several but none as creative as yours. Anything really cool I have made has been bits and pieces of different submitted panels that others have created. Thank you very kindly for your submissions. I wish I had the talent to produce such panels. So I am grateful there are still a few members here that will share their work.
  3. Wow, cool. That worked. Thanks.
  4. Yes, I know it is not meant to shut USB power off. What I was saying is that my USB ports dont power down when system shut down, so display stays on. That is why I was asking about how to make the display power down at shut down. I thought your instructions set the display to do so. With 'backlight = 0', it does nothing different. Display stays active when PC shut off.
  5. Hi. I am having this issue as well. Display doesnt power off with PC. There is no setting in BIOS to kill power to USB ports when PC shuts off. I checked my animation.ini file and it appears mine is already set to '0'. But it still doesnt power off. Here is a my animation.ini file: ; ;Configuration file for BeadaPanel animation palying ; ;[alameda] ;type = clock ;keep-aspect-ratio = true ;pattern = ball ;valignment = center ;halignment = center ;time-format = %r ;font-desc = LCDMono2, 72 ;foreground-color = 0xffff0000 ;color = 0xffffffff [plano] type = album width = 800 height = 480 keep-aspect-ratio = true location = album loop = true interval = 5 ; hardware configuration section [hardware] type = config backlight = 0 ;rotation = counterclockwise
  6. Website link you provided doesnt work. And why do I have to contact seller? Are you not a BeadaPanel rep?
  7. Hey thanks. I didnt know that. How do I tell what firmware I have and how can I update it? I have the BeadaPanel 6.8" LCD Display for AIDA64 - USB Single Cable Monitor - WinUSB SDK.
  8. Custom gauges can be made with most any graphics editing software including Windows Paint. How elaborate the gauges are depends on the software used, your skills, and most of all, your imagination. Basically what you need to do is design your gauge and then make 15 copies of it in different states. When adding a Custom gauge, select Custom from Type. Then select States. Apply a gauge to each state.
  9. Go to Aida64 Preferences - LCD. Select your display. Then go to LCD Items and click the Import button. When importing a panel, change Files of Type to All Files so it shows all files in folder. The file can be in several different formats. PDF isnt one of them. Select the sensor panel file regardless if the file extension is for your panel or not. Depending on the file type and the panel you are using, some features may or may not work. Take my panel for example. It is a USB BeadaPanel. There is no Windows driver, but comes with a SDK so it works with Aida64. I cant have active wall paper, animated gifs, display the desktop, or display other programs on it. Only what Aida64 can send to it. Hope that helps
  10. Great work. Really liking your submissions. Original. This is one of my favorites you have done. I would love to see what else you can do with this background. If you do decide to revisit it, 1280X480 would be cool. Keep up the great work.
  11. Very nice. Any chance of sharing it?
  12. Go into Aida64 settings and change sensor panel to your resolution.
  13. Cool. I like the transparency. You beat me to using that background. I dl'd it a while ago and was going to use it for a white theme. lol
  14. No offense to the great creators in this thread that have contributed. A shitty part of all this thievery I can see coming, is an influx of Photoshop Warriors posting panels that dont exist. Not posting the file on the grounds of copyright. I have made panels myself, and modded panels downloaded from this thread. Either way, it involves a lot of work in some cases. This is why I really appreciate the work a lot of people have submitted here. I know what kind of time and effort goes into creating one. I have the time, but not near the artistic creativity some have displayed here. I am very grateful to Exhumed and countless others for their outstanding contributions. I have only submitted one original panel of my own. I have to admit, I have butchered panels and taken elements from one and adding to another. But this was also for personal use in my home. If I had posted it anywhere, I gave credit to the original creators as far as I could trace back. Come on Exhumed, Wondersquid, MrMike, Operbico, and you others, throw us graphically challenged a few bones once in a while. I would like to mention a few names of some of the great contributors to this thread, but afraid I would miss a few. You guys know who you are.
  15. Lamptron isnt just some guy. It is a well established company.
  16. This is not right by any means. I feel for ya. Pisses me off to no extent. I am very grateful to all the submissions. I have used several panels and mixed and matched a few. But I give credit to original poster(s). That is the way it was intended, I think. Some ass-clown always has to ruin things for others. Spam their site with messages of copyright infringement (likely no copyright) and thievery. Direct people to this forum where they are free to SHARE AND USE FOR PERSONAL USE.
  17. My first attempt with the BeadaPanel. The background is some wallpaper I found on the net and resized it to 1280X480. Made a sensor panel way back in the day with Everest when Battlefield 2 was in its hayday. Trying to find a screenshot of it. ROG.belcd
  18. Use an Android device with Odospace.
  19. Hey, thanks. I used the tool and accessed the 'Console' folder on the BeadaPanel. There is no 'anitmaion.ini' or animation.ini file. The only files are : animation.sh animation-backlight-off.sh animation-rotate-180.sh Readme.txt Also, can I simply replace the video and pictures in the folders with any pictures or video as long as I dont exceed the 3GB storage space?
  20. My display is 1280X480. Hard to find panels in that resolution. So I resize the background in MS Paint or whatever app you want. Sometimes you have to uncheck 'maintain aspect ratio' to get the right size. This will distort (pinch and/or stretch) the image somewhat.
  21. Yes, but please give credit to original author/artist. Several here including myself have. I am not as artistically gifted as a few here. Import the file into your display in Aida64. Dont worry about file type. Go to Aida64 install folder and there will be a folder for your display. Typically; C:\Program Files (x86)\FinalWire\AIDA64 Extreme. Those files will be in there.
  22. Yes. You will have to resize the background to that of your display at the least. You might lose aspect ratio. End result could look stretched or pinched.
  23. Nice panel, I really like it. The reason I went with a Beadapanel for a sensor display is because it is 100% USB. Not as versatile as a monitor, but there is no connection to graphics card/chip, so no hit on graphics power/gaming. It is a bit of a pain because it doesnt power down with my PC at shut down. I have to unplug it if I want it off. Otherwise, it goes into a screen saver mode at shut down. No setting in my BIOS to power off USB at shut down (Strix Z490-A). But very crisp and bright 1280X480 display.
