  1. ... and that is the "good reason" I was looking for. I am not a coder so I'd just see Greek if I were to review your code.. but as an IT support person we run into these occasionally and have to do our "due diligence" before excluding it from our scan systems ... this one was just mis-tagged by more than I care to simply wave off.

Thank you very much for your quick reply ..

to everyone else reading this .. nothing to see here . .. move along .. move along. :)

I'm actually in the middle of updating it to add a check that WebView2 in installed. :)

Currently when you open it, if you do not have WebView2 installed you will just get a blank area, the site doesn't load.  So make sure you have WebView2 installed https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703

My next update will automatically check if it's installed, and if not, it will download and start the installer, but for now you have to manually install WebView2

It was actually @Awol that drew my attention to this being an issue as he didn't have WebView2 installed

Mine that I just installed worked as expected .. why or what do I (we) WebView2 for ?

Ok so have consulted with professor google, and I now know what WebView2 is ... I can see why you're wanting to incorporate this into your code .. it does come with some (security) concerns tho. As I am not a coder .. I am not qualified to comment further. However, it would appear that like the Borg, resistance is futile. Its appearing in everything.

I use firefox as my main browser and use microsofts edge browser for the local host. To be fair its the only thing edge is good for.

Not sure if you've seen this .. but is an alternative to using a browser .. I'm going to test now to see if I'm correct.

Edited a prev rslcd i uploaded. 3 screens on a 20 sec rotation. When i get 5 mins spare ill supply a link to view in action on youtube.

AWOL - just a question. Do you use a browser pointed at local host for example to view these panels ?? or some other HTML viewing app??   I can't justify the  overhead of any of the current round of browsers just for my panel. As much as I liked your gauges.

  5. Too funny, I went to save that GIF you posted to a logical location .. and "importing" your rslcd created a folder called "RemoteSensor LCD" and placed the three GIF in there already. I suppose that all I had to do was correct (?) maybe the path in your panel to my path. Lets see ....

And you're opening via local host not sensor panel ??

right click aida64 - preferences - lcd - lcd items - import the file i supplied.

I think you need to include the separate smoke gif file  ... that seems to be what is missing. I get the same display as Psycho did. Named "ezgif.com-gif-maker (18).gif"

  7. Perfect - makes sense and I'll disable that since I'm sure I don't really need it. It just seemed like a good move when I started playing with it (Aida64)

I just noticed - Budapest, Hungary  being of the aged verity of human (existing before the interwebs) I'm always amazed at meeting people from all over the planet. And seeing that we really CAN all get along!  I wish the leaders and media would catch on to this.

  8. Not sure how else to term this ... but this is what I've observed ...

Easiest way is to highlight a few icons on your desktop, quickly move your mouse away from them and let go of the mouse. (keeps hands away) and you'll notice that the icons will go de-selected. This happens every few seconds and is annoying as hell when you're trying to work in a graphics app (Gimp) or other such all and Aida64 keeps stealing focus.

How do I know its Aida64 .... kill it and the symptoms 100% go away ....

    Should Aida64 be run differently?

  9. So I was sitting here and observing my panel .... noticing the readout bounce. That is from actual to 0, N/A, errant value and thought hmmm. what if there were an option to enable read out averaging.

I'm assuming that all this jumping around of values is due to the client nature of AIDA64. Would it help if we could average 3 samples 5 seconds apart and display that value?

Just pulling the number of samples, time between samples outta my arse ... and would that be good enough for hand grenades and horseshoes approach to this display.

  10. As the title suggests .. I'm looking to read out the fan RPM's as percentages of a stated min/max. An average might be helpful to stabilize the display since these values seem to jump around like crazy.

I saw one post where someone asked this and was met with a "Correction" with Ratio and Offset. The response was basically, that was what I was missing with zero mention from either to what to put where and why.

Looking to enter a minimum and maximum fan speed and then get a ### % read out.  How does one go about doing this?
