No 2nd display when plugged into MB USB header, only when using external USB

Having a small issue. I connected my 5" display using a USB to MB header so it will turn off/on with my PC, and now it doesnt get regonized even after numerous restarts. If I swap back to an external USB cable, it works.

Anyone got a fix or any ideas?
