gothware
I switch between using a monitor and a tv as a primary display. Whenever I switch back and forth between these two displays, the sensor panel moves to whichever screen was most recently powered on. In the preferences, it also changes the 'pin to monitor' setting from the secondary monitor, to that current primary display. Has anyone been able to use multiple displays that disconnect/connect and keep the sensor panel still? It seems like, generally, Aida64's sensor panel should only be used if the user's displays, display order, and resolutions are the same on every boot and remain the same during use, if any display change occurs the panel must be moved manually. Someone please tell me if this is true so I can move on. The software below almost worked, but sometimes I have every display off except for the sensor panel, or Windows loses a display for a second when connecting. This means the sensor panel display becomes the primary display which doesn't seem to work with this utility as it gives an error message on top of the sensor panel until I stop the software. This Powershell script also almost works, but I would need to run it every time I turn a display off or on. If I found a way to automate this, it would still throw a UAC pop-up everytime. Right now, I have it as press a hotkey, then look at the remaining monitors to see when the UAC comes up, then press left arrow + enter to accept the UAC pop-up. It's a lot to do just to turn off a display. If anyone has a display setup similar to mine, let me know. I feel like the Aida64 is just not supposed to work in this situation due to how Windows handles displays.
