I recently realized I had two copies of AIDA64 installed (per add / remove programs in windows 11).   I thought it best to uninstall both to help troubleshoot some crashing issues I was having recently.  One was a old version 7 and one was a new install of v8 as noted in the post Title.  I seem to recall that when I removed v8 there was a message that some components couldn't be removed automatically but could be removed manually.  I have been using the GSKILL wigidash LCD panel with AIDA64 and I suspected it was because the wigidash software was still running.

I have uninstalled both the wigidash software and aida64.  Reinstalled the most recent version of AIDA64.  Now I can't seem to get AIDA64 to start when when windows starts.

I have applied the correct setting in the preferences menu but after a reboot of windows AIDA64 doesn't load and I dont see it in the startup list in task manager.

Additionally  I seem to get white boxes around some / all (it seems to change) of the icons in AIDA64 now when I set the Theme to automatic or dark.

Additionally I noticed that the sensors for GPU utilization that previously existed for the 2 video cards installed in my system (2080Ti and a 4080 Super) no longer show up in AIDA64 even after a fresh install of the software.
