Hello, i just wanted to push this topic because i own a XPS 15 9530 with an very loud fan. The fan starts to spin in the moment i put the thunderbolt dock (TB15) in. DELL Support says, thats normal... The Laptop is very cold, even under "office idle" is the fan running with full speed, only because the TB15. I found a programm that could help me out of my office fan concert, it is called Notebook Fan Control and can be found here: https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/wiki This software needs the ec states of the laptop to tell the laptop how fast the fan should spin. Could you please tell me the ec states which are for the fan? They should be the same you use to read the fan speed... thank you very much
