  1. BIOS and Device Manager see the WD 8TB Black HDD, but AIDA64 Extreme, doesn't see the temperature of the drive. AIDA64 can see the WD 4TB Black's temp, fine. It also saw the previous WD 2TB Black's temp. I'm probably just missing something obvious. :/ Disregard...it fixed itself after about 5 reboots. LOL
  2. The only three temps I have that I don't normally show on my OSD are... VRM, PCH Diode, and Temperature #2. This is looking at the OSD config list. I see the exact same temps on the Stability Test > Preferences > Temperatures tab as well...
  3. Only other question I have is about some other temps. Namely... Temperature #2, and PCH Diode. They seem steady at the temps shown below. (Idle) All the other temps vary somewhat, but Temp #2 and PCH Diode, stay at 41C and 53C. What do these temps refer to?
  4. Ah, I get it. I have to enable the graphing of the power supply voltages, ON the Voltage tab... THEN they show up on the Statistics tab. The ONLY voltages that show up on the Statistics tab, are the ones that have been "turned on" on the Voltages tab. After enabling everything on the Voltage tab, it then showed up on the Statistics tab... Not sure what browser you're using, but left click once, then left click again... on the picture below, to see it full size.
  5. I've not only gained the 3.3v, but the 3.3v Standby as well. Kudos to an excellent job, my friend. So now I seem to have everything I should. I've gained... CPU Package, CPU_Opt, GPU2, 3.3V, 3.3v standby, 5v and 12v. Still don't see the power supply voltages on the Statistics tab of the Stability Test, and can find no way to add them. I can add them to both the Voltages tab and the Unified tab, though. Thanks so much for your tireless work on keeping this excellent program up to date. Just saw a news item the other day. Nvidia is planning an event, September 1st. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/special-event/ Ofc, this will probably cause you all sorts of heartache, but we're all behind you, we know you can do it. Thanks again. I don't know if this is helpful after the fix, but here is the latest current ISA sensor dump. isasensordump.txt All hail Fiery !!
  6. Ok AIDA64 625.5400 (no beta). Motherboard temp agrees. For the "CPU" temp, AIDA64 shows the average, and it doesn't change. Stays fixed at 26-27C In HWInfo I SEE the 12v, 5v, and possibly the 3v? (3VSB could be something else... not sure) Now I'm gonna re-install the 5462 Beta, and compare again... brb. Ok, now the 5462 Beta is installed. Notice the CPU and CPU Package temps. AIDA64 is NOW showing how the CPU temp fluctuates as well as the CPU package temp. And here is a pic of the Stability test on the 625.5400 and also on the 5462 Beta... For the plain CPU temp... can I assume the results in the bottom pic (5462 Beta) are the accurate ones?? Above, when I mentioned the 5462 Beta was "unstable" this is what I meant. I didn't see any "other" indications. I just can't figure out why the plain CPU temp is that much different between... 625.5400 and 625.5462 I did notice though, the HWInfo64 agrees more with the 625.5462 Beta version than with the 625.5400 version. 7. Yeah... 3.3v, 5v, and 12v. on the Monitor tab in the BIOS. ...and thank YOU for your excellent continuing work. You ARE amazing. ^^ /edit I been up for far too long. Don't kill yourself or anything on this issue. I will check back in 6-8 hours, after some much needed rest. You do good work. ^^
  8. Yes, it's in the BIOS. Like I said this is a weird motherboard. First time I bought a board NOT meant for overclocking or serious gaming, etc. I will go into the BIOS and double check, but I'm pretty sure I did that when I didn't see the voltages in AIDA64... brb
  9. Ok... we mostly succeeded. I have the 12v, the 5v and the ... 1.8V?, I also got the CPU Opt cooling fan as well. Now still no PSU voltages on the Statistics tab, BUT I can choose: those three voltages to show on the graph, on the Voltages tab. 12v, 5v, and 1.8v? Being as how my computer does function well, I will assume that the 1.8v is NOT my PSU's 3v. New ISA Sensor Dump, in case you need it. isasensordump.txt Current OSD (at least the things that might be important at the moment)

  11. Ok, moved the AIDA64 Extreme folder to C:\ ...ran a new shortcut from aida64.exe Rebooted comp just to be sure? Still no power supply voltages. Also, might as well mention, that there is no entry in the OSD config for the CPU Optional cooling fan. The CPU cooling fan is there. This is a NOT normal motherboard. Asus calls it a workstation board. This is a VERY old (but high quality) power supply. Probably 10-13 years old. I'm also not sure if it makes a difference, But I installed Windows 10 Home without a System or a Recovery partition. The System partition is incorporated into the C;\ drive proper.
  12. Ok, I'm probably doing something wrong. VERY new to Windows 10. Tried extracting to C:\Program Files (x86)\FinalWire\AIDA64 Extreme folder. Tried to extract to the FinalWire folder... same message. Extracted to a "New" folder on Desktop, then copy/pasted/replaced into the C:\Program Files (x86)\FinalWire\AIDA64 Extreme folder. Rebooted comp, but no change. Still no power supply voltages. Same as pic in post #1.
  13. That link is to a portable zip version of the Beta? How do I use that to... "Upgrade"?
  14. I have no power supply voltages on either the Statistics tab or the OSD configure page. I'm not saying the voltages are zero, I'm saying they don't even exist. 15. Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 OSD items: Side Note: Up until today I haven't been running any page file as I have 16GB of installed RAM. However, since the last Important Windows Update on the 8th of April, no page file in combination with Acronis True Image Home has caused some issues that never existed before. So, despite my misgivings, I've had to re-enable the page file. I only point this out for your ongoing research into the AIDA64 Extreme issues, as it may have some relevance. I don't know if it was the last Windows Update or not, as MS is less than forthcoming about exactly what each update entails. The only other thing that I can think of that might be useful to you is the fact, that generally I never install any "optional" Windows Updates. If it helps you in any way these are the "optional Updates", I haven't installed.
  16. Until the more recent versions of AIDA64, I would get thread creation errors about once a day. Now, with the latest versions I just notice the OSD disappears, about once a day. While this is better than the "frozen" OSD I used to get, it's still kind of a pita. Nothing is overclocked, and I'm currently running the 331.82 Nvidia drivers. AV/firewall... is Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 (paid), only other monitoring software is the latest GPU-Z and CPU-Z, neither is "installed", I just run them portably..aka ...just double click the .exe file when I want to run them. I have no ASUS utilities installed...never have. Please let me know if you need any other info.
  17. UPDATE: Ok switched to Nvidia system tools...set fan speed (works) set it to run at boot (works). Now we wait to see if I get a black screen or screen just goes into unrecoverable stanby, all by itself. It may take an hour or 3 days...it's was totally intermittant, running AIDA64 Ext, and any version of EVGA Precisson, which has been totally uninstalled.
  18. Ok, I intend to try Nvidia Sytem Tools, as soon as I find out HOW to use it. The artifacting has gone since I reverted back, again to the 296.10 drivers and the 2.1 version of EVGA Presicision, however, last niight after 2-3 days of no issues...I simply alt+tabbed out of D2 and got a black screen...reboot cleared that. I don't have any other games installed, nor do I own any, "newer" games. The PSU voltages NEVER vary, and are well within 1% of the proper values. This is NOT one of the newer PC Power & Cooling PSU's (before the were sold to OCZ). in fact I have two of these 750w PSU's and one has been running in my other comp for 8 years and the one in this comp has been running flawlessly for almost 4 years. Yes, with AIDA64 uninstalled the problems do NOT occur. I've been using AIDA64 ever since it was Lavalys Everest. As to the vid card itself it, has already been RMA'd once about 6 months ago...same issue. However, EVGA has changed theiir warranty policy, in that, even though this card has a lifetime warranty, they now only replace it with a refurburbished version...which ofc, I have no way of knowing what HAD been done to the refurbished replacement, before it was sent to me. I do NOT believe AIDA64 is at fault. In fact I am beginning to believe that it is infact a corrupt BIOS Flash or a corrupt BIOS chip and have contacted ASUS about this and must wait 48 hours to here if the replacement request for a new BIOS chip is approved. The only thing II am sure of, is that in that last 2-3 years, Nvidia, EVGA, ASUS and Microsoft are not working together on issues like these, like they used to in the past...everyone blames the other company. I've seen a lot of these driiver has failed and recovered issuess in the last 6 months to a year, on various hardware and software tech support forums. On my previous system, about 6 months ago, after an ASUS BIOS flash, the same problems started ocurring and were solved ONLY when they sent me a new BIOS chip. I realize, that all this points to the video card, however when I RMA'd iit and found that they will NOW only send refurbished ones, I complained that this was not the way to do things, so the 3rd tier tech support manager, ran a 24 hour stress test on the card he sent and pronounced it, flawlessly working. As to Nvidia system tools, this is news to me at least....and I have a couple questions. Do I install both the stem tools and the system monitor, or where exactly IS the fan speed control able to be adjusted...in the tool itself or in the Nvidia Control panel ? I also intend to call Nvidia and ask them, but of all the companies involved, they seem to have the least able tech support, at least at 1st tier and seem to be more concerned with their Tegra line and their server parts these days. So currently, I'm down to the BIOS chip and the Nvidia sytem tools as solutions. I will post back when/if I find the solution that works.

With both EVGA Precision and AIDA64 Extreme running, I am experiencing, artifacting and the occassional blue screen when playing Diablo 2, for 30 mins to a half hour. Restarting the comp will eliminate the problem for a time. I have the latest motherboard BIOS, and newer versions or either the Nvidia driver or of EVGA Precision don't fix the issue. This is the "Stability Settings" in AIDA currently. Unfortunately, I need BOTH...AIDA and EVGA Precision running. Nothing is overclocked, and when I do overclock, it's only the CPU. These are the things I wish to monitor with AIDA's OSD: Any help would be appreciated and any further info needed will be provided. Thx in advance.
