calyp50 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Why Are There GPU1 and GPU2 in Power Usage When the Temperature Section Already Has iGPU? I was checking my hardware monitoring software and noticed something odd. In the power usage and temperature sections, there are two GPUs listed: GPU1 and GPU2. However, the temperature section already includes the iGPU separately. For reference, my system specs: CPU: 9950X (which has an integrated GPU) GPU: 5090 This makes me wonder—why are there two GPUs listed under power usage? Shouldn't the iGPU already be accounted for separately? Has anyone else noticed this behavior in hardware monitoring tools, and does it indicate an issue with power reporting? Quote

FatBoyNL Posted March 26 Posted March 26 The "iGPU" temp in the Sensor section seems to be originating from a different temp sensor source on the iGPU/CPU. Which is a good thing. But to solve your 'GPU problem' in AIDA64, just completely disable the iGPU in UEFI BIOS if you can. There is absolutely no reason to use it when you already have a (discrete) dGPU 😈 Quote
Twisticles Posted March 29 Posted March 29 If you have a second display over USB, as is typical for a sensorpanel screen, some mobos will not output over USBC if the iGPU is disabled. Quote
