misterfixit
I have been using AIDA64 for years and just updated to version 5.97.4600 from 5.2 so that I could disable smart monitoring of an external hard drive. This version works for awhile then on occasion will not open by either right or left clicking on the icon in the system tray. Hovering over the icon doesn't show any info either. When I double click on it an icon appears in the taskbar on the far left but it disappears when I click on it. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on an Asus Z87 pro with an i7 3.5 GHz processor with 8 GB of RAM. My video card is a Nvidia Geforce GTX960. mumak
AFAIK this was a problem of recent NVIDIA GeForce drivers (r397).
misterfixit
I did update the driver recently to r397. Will aida64 be updated to handle this or do I need to use an older nvidia driver?
misterfixit
I have installed an older driver for now. (r385)
misterfixit
Is this a bug? Or is the Nvidia driver a bug? Anyone?
mumak
As I said before, it's a bug in NVIDIA drivers, so NVIDIA must fix it.
misterfixit
And you know this how? I have searched and have not come up with anything about this problem.
