Yes, everything the same: 4600GHz / 3800GHz cache / DDR4-3400 @ 13-15-12-16-CR1, same vcore / vcache / vdimm.

It gets weirder! Beta 70 showed the problem. However I restored Windows from an image from Sep. 15 which had the problem, and now the problem is gone! I tried both betas 58 and 70, and they now reliably show all 4 including reboots. The one thing I will add in case it helps is that I have the TMP and TEMP variables pointing to another partition which was not restored. Since I now get all DIMMs I imagine if HWINFO64 had the same problem it would be gone too.

I should have added the secondary Win 10 has the Intel RST application disabled, just in case it makes any difference.

OK, I reset all my DIMM settings to auto except voltages and same problem. See my OSD panel image. But I may have discovered a Windows 10 link. I went back to 3945 and behold, only dimms B1, C1 and D1. I then also reset my CPU & cache speeds to auto and even worse, I only got C1 & D1. I have a secondary WIn 10 boot on a different SSD which I use for stress testing - I disable the RAID SSDs to prevent corruption during overzealous OC stress testing. I consistently always get all 4 dimm temps no matter the OC with 3945. But this system does not have the latest Win 10 updates, only back to 08/31. Very strange.

Hi Fiery, While 3945 had no problems, in both 58 & 63 I'm getting only 3 out of 4 DIMM temperatures reported (A1 is missing, B1, C1 & D1 show), and in 63 the Memory & Cache and the GPGPU benchmarks and the CPUID tools will not open from the taskbar icon menu. Asus Strix X99 Gaming MB, I7 6900K CPU, 4x G.Skill F4-3200C14-8GTZ DIMMs, Win 10 x64 1607 up-to-date. Overclocked to 4600GHz DDR4-3400 stable. Thanks! DJ

Thank you for the great info!

But I take it this means when read properly (e.g. Auto in Aida64) it's the correct TjMax for your specific chip which is great. Thanks, Fiery!

Hi Fiery, we're having a discussion in Overclock.net on processor temperature readings. Aida uses Automatic by default, and we were wondering is this a static preset based on the processor or is it a value supplied by the CPU itself on recent processors like my i7 6900K? Thanks IA for some insight into this! DJ

Worked like a charm, Fiery! You da man! Thank you!

Thanks Fiery!

Hi Fiery! Dang, I forgot about the wi-fi I had disabled! I guess it still shows up. Been too involved with all the new board and overclocking stuff! Sure enough, the Ethernet is NIC2, The fans are a weird case. I connect the cooling pump tach to the CPU Opt, easy to spot because it's 4700+ RPM, no show, but does show in the BIOS. Two others have different names in the Strix: Water_Pump and High_Amp respectfully. High_Amp is labeled CPU Opt in Aida. Water_Pump shows as Chassis Fan 4. The real CPU Opt doesn't show. Here are the dumps. Thanks again! DJ ecdump.txt isasensordump.txt

Hi Fiery, New motherboard to pester you with , the Asus Strix X99 Gaming. The fan and NIC/Ethernet readings seem off, in particular: - 0 rpm reading for CPU Opt fan (could be a misnomer for , as I do have one fan usually at 0 unless temps go up) - No reading for water pump fan - 0 KB/s readings for the NIC/Ethernet device Let me know if you need something. Thanks! DJ

DIMM in socket D1 no longer shows in SPD list (Asus X99-A USB 3.1 + Core i7-6900K)

Hi Fiery, Here you go. All SPD info for A1->D1 looks fine in 3900. In 3916 A1->C1 look fine, D1 is missing. I'm always amazed how you can keep track of a gazillion devices ! Thanks! DJ smbusdump_full_3900.txt smbusdump_full_3916.txt -
Fixed in 5.75 - thank you Fiery!

It's definitely the overclocking with the new CPU. Consider this done, and thanks for your help.. Sorry to bug (pun intended ) you about it!

Hi Fiery, it's Sunday, you should be doing something relaxing . I only changed the CPU. I found the unknown device was for the Intel Turbo Max 3 from the new gen i7s, so that's explained and gone. I keep getting no DIMM temps, or only one or two upon reboot, but I think that's probably my DIMMs or maybe my fairly pronounced overclock (CPU from 3200 -> 4550 MHZ, DIMMs from 3200 -> 3370. I do pass stress using Google's memory stressapp for an hour and RealBench for almost three hours with max core temp 74c, no symptoms while working even some video coding. DIMMs are G Skill F4-3200C14-8GVR, 4x 8GB set. Cheers!

I'm manually overclocked, only AIDA64 is monitoring, no Asus or Intel OC software running. This is recent, since I switched to the 6900K processor more or less. Interestingly I also started getting an unknown device in the Device Manager.

Hi Fiery, My DIMM temps keep flipping back and forth between what looks like the right temp (changes appropriately) and 48. Asus X99-A USB 3.1 BIOS 3101 Intel 6900K 4x G Skill F4-3200C14-8GVR Thanks!

Hi Fiery, Under CPU Core I show only ~ 0.12 volts while CPU VID shows proper value ~1.0 relaxed, ~1.36 under stress. This is with latest 3875 Beta. Asus X99-A USB 3.1 BIOS 3101 Intel 6900K Thanks for checking it out! DJ

Hi Fiery, Yes, it's checked. Looks like it must be a component-specific situation. I'll have to do some more DIMM module tinkering. Thanks!

Hi Fiery, Here you go. I rattled the DIMMs on the MB and DIMM1 now shows too, but not the other two DIMMs. Weird, as memory is working fine - I just went through three hours of stress testing with all 32GB and done other memory testing. Thanks for looking at this. DJ smbusdump_full.txt

Hi Fiery, Lately I'm only seeing one DIMM temperature sensor available, DIMM4. I'm on latest beta 3805. MB Asus X99-A USB 3.1 BIOS 2101 DIMMS: 4x G Skill F4-3200C14-8GVR (32GB total) Not sure which log you need :-) Thanks! DJ
