markusrubi
Hi, when I start AIDA / EVEREST, the laptop drive is found,no problems at all, all S.M.A.R.T. data is available. But only for the laptop hdd. The NAS system ist found under "physical drives", but no SMART-Data is available. I am desperately looking for the LCC numbers... Is there any idea, what the problem is? thanks..
Fiery
First of all, please note that only locally connected drives can be interrogated by the SMART layer of AIDA64. Remote drives are not supported. In case you drive is connected locally, then make sure to have both RAID options enabled in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Stability, and that you're running the latest beta release of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild2419txgzqv3nwhzip If it still doesn't work, then please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Disk Debug --> RAID Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Thanks, Fiery
markusrubi
Hi Fiery, thanks for this quick reply! Yes the NAS system is just connected via LAN. So this is probably the reason.... Is it sufficient, if I connect it with USB (I am using a D-LINK Share center) or do I have to dismount the drives separately and mount them into external hdd frames (as I am using just a laptop)? Thanks for any reply, kind regards
Fiery
By connecting the box via USB should be enough to let AIDA64 read SMART info.
