Memory Speed Question

I am viewing my sensor panel right now that shows a memory clock of 2600 MHz.  This does not match what my BIOS is set for in the BIOS setup screen.  There it shows me 5200 MHz.  It seems the sensor panel is showing half of this speed.  This may be working as intended, but I do not understand the discrepancy.

The DRAM sticks I am using are four Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz.

because the memory is called DDR (Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory) that is, literally the carrier frequency of 2600MHz is doubled, but the program shows the main line frequency
