Xan Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Hi, how about having some detection for GPU video acceleration beyond Video Engine load, from the older MPEG-2 motion compensation and VPE to the newer PureVideo and Avivo/UVD, if possible? Quote
Fiery Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 We currently have no information on how to measure such GPU load on either architectures. Do you know of a software that can do that? Thanks, Fiery Quote
Xan Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Not really. Since video players support those technologies I would think that they'd have means of detecting them. Of course the information which GPUs are capable of which features is widely available on the internet, e.g. http://www.nvidia.com/docs/CP/11036/PureVideo_Product_Comparison.pdf, but I don't know if AIDA64 does all the feature checks on the fly or implements a fixed database of features for certain hardware. Fiery Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Due to product segmentation it's not really possible to build a database for such features. And most companies tend to keep information on detecting such features private Quote
