Sensorpanel scaling problem?

Hello,

I've recently purchased the AIDA64 software along with an additional screen connected via USB and HDMI to my computer with a resolution of 1920x480. In the preferences under SensorPanel, I've set the SensorPanel Size to 1920x480 and pinned the SensorPanel to Monitor DISPLAY3: 1920x480.

However, after importing the theme.sensorpanel file, everything is misaligned even though I'm sure that the theme is designed for a resolution of 1920x480. Interestingly, I checked the theme.sensorpanel file, and it specifies: <SPWIDTH>1920</SPWIDTH><SPHEIGHT>480</SPHEIGHT><SPBGCOLOR>0</SPBGCOLOR>.

Additionally, I verified that the values for <ITMX> and <ITMY> are within the correct ranges of 1920 and 480, respectively. Unfortunately, after importing, the X-axis values jump to 2205, causing the layout to exceed the screen boundaries.

For example, in the theme.sensorpanel file, the value for memory <ITMX> is set to 1770, but AIDA64 changes it to 2212.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

Scaling issues?

Q: I import a sensorpanel and its changes the size and re-aranged objects

Q: How to avoid scaling problems with sensor panels?

A: Two things usually cause that

  • You do not have the proper font installed. (The default font is loaded instead)
  • You do not have Windows scaling set to 100%

A: When creating a sensor panel, make sure that you set the scaling in Windows to 100% and that the resolution in Aida64 is correct. The manually set sensor panel dimensions are saved directly in the sensor panel file and are automatically applied when loading for the first time.

Q: How to check the panel size?

  • Right click on "Aida64" Task bar Icon > Settings > SensorPanel > SensorPanel Size

Scaling issues? (Windows)

Fix: Try setting "DPI compatibility mode" for aida64.exe

It's a Windows compatibility setting that you apply on the EXE itself. Locate AIDA64.EXE (C:\Program Files (x86)\FinalWire\AIDA64 Extreme) aida64.exe > properties > compatibility > change high DPI settings > activate "Override high DPI Scaling behavior" to System. Scaling performed by: 'System' (from the drop down) > Ok/Apply > Restart Windows > Load/import panel and check if it works now.

Once you've done this, make sure that your SensorPanel properties are set to match the new panel before importing and you have a better chance of being successful.

Troubleshooting not working?

Users who have this scaling problem and cannot resolve the error with the known "fixes" unfortunately have to manually re-align each individual object.

Thank you for the information, Rinaldop.

I tried enabling the "DPI compatibility mode" for aida64.exe, and while it did help, some other issues started occurring intermittently:

1. The program launches correctly on the 3rd monitor, and the theme displays correctly in terms of size.

2. The program launches on the 1st monitor, even though I have set it to "pin the SensorPanel to Monitor DISPLAY3: 1920x480" in the options.

3. The program launches on the 3rd monitor, but the size is incorrect, and everything is misaligned. In this case, deleting the aida64.ini file and reconfiguring everything from scratch, then reimporting the theme, seems to help.

a reboot maybe necessary after changing scaling,  just had this problem on a rebuilt...new GPU and display, scaled to 150% screwed up all panels, changed to correct settings, still screwed up, rebooted all is well.  good luck
