@Fiery Any idea what might be causing this?

Please let us know in what part of AIDA64 do you get this error?  For example, do you click on a particular page of AIDA64?

It happens randomly. Mostly noticing it in the morning after the computer has been idle over night. The app is usually idle in the system tray.

Does your computer go to sleep during the night?

Is there anything else I can provide to possibly get an answer on this issue?

If not, can I get a refund as this software is useless to me if it keeps crashing???

I'm afraid the issue you're experiencing is too generic, so it would take a lot of efforts on your part to dig down deeper, e.g. disable various modules of AIDA64 to try to pinpoint the reason of the error message.  If you're up for it, we can go down that path, but I still cannot guarantee that we could find the bug that way :( So in case you have a sour taste in your mouth about the $$ investment, then perhaps the best way for you is to get a refund and find another solution.

I don't have time to debug your software, I'd rather just get a refund and move on.

That's fair. Thank you for giving our software a chance though.

I have this same problem.  I am on Win 11, 24H2 build 26 100.4351

Using AIDA64 Extreme 7.65.7400 build 4/7/2025.

I am using the sensor panel, and I get this memory violation error a few minutes after a reboot. It's been working like a champ for a few years now.  And then 2 or 3 months ago, I started to get the error.  At that point, I upgraded to the latest version lised above.  I have done memory tests and the memory passes (both mem86 in bios, and the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool).  I have also done system file checker and DISM and both have no errors.  I am running a motherboard that is an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial with the latest bios.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled AIDA64.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I really like this software.

I've been troubleshooting this for a couple of weeks now without any success.  My symptoms are very similar to the original poster's.  I've been using Aida64 Extreme licensed for a couple of years now without issue.  I'm using a sensor panel on a 2nd HDMI display.

Randomly, the software is soft-crashing with an access violation, a soft-crashing because the sensor panel will be frozen at the time of the crash but the program is still running in the system tray.  When I open the software and attempt to read the sensors it just scans indefinitely until I exit and restart it.

It will then run for a random period of time.  Sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.  Again, been using it for a long time without these issues.

What I have tried:

Chkdsk /r /f /x on my main C drive and D drive where a lot of my recently used apps reside -PASS

Memtest86 for 9 hours on my RAM from the system BIOS - PASS

Intel CPU Diagnostics - PASS

Reverted video drivers from latest NVidia to the ones before this issue started. -No change

Reverted to the previous two versions of Aida64, they don't crash as often, but they still crash randomly.

Adjusted XMP profile in BIOS -No change

DISM Repair was run -No change

System file checker -No change

I'm running out of ideas.

Thank you

System:

Asus Z690 Extreme

i9-14900k (Recent install in Feb and always been on the new microcode and BIOS versions to prevent the degradation)

64GB Kingston DDR5 2 * 32GB sticks

NVidia Founders RTX 5090

WD/Sandisk NVME's 4TB for C and D
