0xdeadbeef
Is there any possibility to show S.M.A.R.T readings from the LSI 9260 RAID controller family? This adapter is one of the best performing controllers together with the new Areca 1880 (they even have the same ROC). It's also available under different names from other companies e.g. Intel RS2BL080.
Fiery
Do you mean a dedicated PCI Express connector MegaRAID SAS RAID controller card like this? http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1178/1/ Or you mean that RAID controller chip integrated on a motherboard? BTW, the Areca controller you mentioned should be already supported Thanks, Fiery
0xdeadbeef
Yes, that one exactly! Here's a direct link to LSI product page with specs and documentation: http://www.lsi.com/channel/products/megaraid/sassata/9260-8i/index.html I'm using the LSI 9260-8i (Intel RS2BL080 actually but it's just a rebrand) with 2TB WD RE4 and 150GB Raptors but I don't see any S.M.A.R.T data from the controller or my disks. I believe LSI 9260-4i and 9260-8i have been the best performing controllers for almost a year. Areca 1880 may now have the performance crown but LSI 9260 is still one of the fastest controller. I would be great to have the S.M.A.R.T data in AIDA64 if possible.
Fiery
Thanks. Please start AIDA64, right-click on the bottom status bar of its main window --> Disk Debug --> RAID Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Maybe we already have a RAID member enumeration method that can be used for this controller as well Thanks, Fiery

Fiery
Thank you. I can see three 1.5TB WD drives, and three 2TB WD drives there. Can you please clarify what drives do you have in your system, and how are they organized into RAID array(s), and if there're separate, individual drives as well? 0xdeadbeef
Yes of course, here's my configuration: There are two SFF-8087 mini SAS connectors on LSI 9260-8i and each has a 4-port SAS/SATA conversion cable connected to two different RAID volumes. Port 1: RAID 5, 3 x WD 2TB RE4 (WD2003FYYS) Port 2: RAID 0, 3 x WD 150GB Raptor (WD1500ADFD) I don't have any other disks connected to this controller. Thanks in advance. Fiery
Thank you. Please clarify: you can see all 6 disk drives listed properly on the Storage / ATA page in AIDA64, but you cannot see either one of them on the Storage / SMART page? If that's the case, then please try to run HD Sentinel, and check if it can provide SMART data for your drives, or not: http://www.hdsentinel.com Thanks, Fiery
0xdeadbeef
I can't see my six drives in Storage / ATA page. Strangely I can only see two disks listed: There's nothing in the Storage / SMART page. I don't know what to make of this. S.M.A.R.T is supported by the 9260 controllers according to LSI (please see this Product Brief and User's Guide). S.M.A.R.T is also supported by Western Digital. Is there a limitation in Windows 7 x64 drivers somehow?
Metallian
Is there any possibility to show S.M.A.R.T readings from the LSI 9260 RAID controller family? This adapter is one of the best performing controllers together with the new Areca 1880 (they even have the same ROC). It's also available under different names from other companies e.g. Intel RS2BL080. Any update on this topic ? I have the same card LSI 9260-8i and I confirm that the disk only shows in "Storage / ATA page" In fact, this page seems to show the first disk of the array only No way to find the disks on the other page, and no way to display the temparature in the OSD for example. I also confirm that HD SENTINEL is able to report the SMART STATUS of every drive in the Raid arrays
Metallian
Any update ? I just checked on EVEREST 2.50 and the drives connected to my LSI 9260-8i raid controller still don't show up
Fiery
I'm afraid we haven't been able to figure that out yet
