Too low CPU Core Temp (4930K)

Just finished upgrading my system, but the Core Temps are off with about 20c. See attached.

 

As a comparison I tried installing the Core Temp app which seems to be reporting a more correct temp. This is with the latest beta version just downloaded.

 

System: Intel 4930K, Rampage IV Black

Please advise which logs you need.

1) Are you sure you don't have a temperature correction value applied on the core temperatures in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Correction?

 

2) Also, do you have the TJMax temperature value set to Automatic in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring?  On Core i3/i5/i7 processors it's best to leave the TJMax at automatic, since those processors are capable of providing the right TJMax value through a CPU register, so no need to play with manual settings.

1) Nothing there.

 

2) This was the issue - was set to 75c. Set it to Auto, and values display correctly. Can't even recall having set this so probably a leftover from a while back.
