Computer freezes every 5 sec

Hi,

 

I hope you guys can help me.

I'm using Aida64 for over a year now without problems.

I'm not sure what I did but suddenly me PC freezes every 5 sec for one sec. When I exit Aida64 everything is fine.

 

I'm using the G19 Keyboard with the LCD applet of Aida64. Is this the cause?

 

I genereated a Aida64-report. Is there a Email I can send it to?

I don't want to attache it to the forum.

I've sent you the report. I just realized that the report is german. If this is a problem then please tell me and I try to create it in english.

Thank you for the report, it's perfect in German. Try to disable GPU monitoring by right-clicking on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> HWMon Modules --> GPU. If it doesn't help, try to disable the other HWMon Modules as well, one by one, and see if any of them cures the issue.

If none of those helps, and you've got Asus AI Suite installed, try to uninstall it, and see if it helps.

I'll try this. Till now everything seems to be alright.

Sadly the GPU temperature of my G19 LCD is now N/A.

 

Is there an other way to fix this problem?

Hm.. I just saw that there is a new nVidia Driver. I'll install it.

ok it's working.

When I disable the HWMonitor of the GPU the freezing stopps.

The installing of the latest nVidia driver fixed nothing.

 

Is there a way to get the GPU temperature back on my G19 LCD?

Will there be a fix of this problem in the next Aida64 update?

With the GPU monitoring enabled, please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> Sensor Profiling Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

Thank you. I'm afraid it looks all fine, so the problem must be somewhere else. My best guess is that the monitoring module of AIDA64 collides with another application, process or service running in the background. Do you think you have any other software running in the background that may also poll sensors or the GPU? Such as AI Suite, Rivatuner, or such?

The programms running beside Aida64 are TeamSpeak3, G-Data (Antivirus) and Firefox (Youtube).

 

The Dump was made directly after reboot without freezing. Now this dump is made while the freezing happens. Maybe there is a difference?

No, I'm afraid I cannot see anything in the profiling dump that would suggest a slowdown in the monitoring module of AIDA64. It looks more like as if the AIDA64 GPU monitoring driver (NVAPI) calls would cause ForceWare drivers to stall for a second, but we've never seen such a thing to happen with any ForceWare releases before, on any nVIDIA GPUs. We'll try to reproduce the issue on our own GTX580, with ForceWare 347.09. Meanwhile, you may want to try downgrading to an older WHQL ForceWare release, and check if it fixes the issue. If you do that, please let us know about the results.

An update: on our GTX580, using the latest ForceWare WHQL driver suite (347.09) everything works just fine, no freezes or any latency issues while AIDA64 is monitoring the system.
