Fans' speed sensors disappear after waking up (Asus Z170-A)

AIDA64 Engineer, 5.80.4075 beta.

ASUS Z170-A mobo, four PWA chassis fans are connected directly to mobo.

AIDA64 displays these fan's speed properly - until waking up from sleep.

After waking up these sensors are not listed in the list of supported sensors.

These sensors are available again only after restart of PC.

Restarting AIDA64 does not help.

What could be a reason of this glitch?

Thank you. Please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first.

Please repeat that dump after the computer wakes up from sleep and the fans already disappeared.

Thanks,
Fiery

Thank you.  Apparently the 4 fan registers corresponding to Chassis #n fans are all zero after waking up from sleep.  We suspect it's because the BIOS fails to properly re-initialize the sensor registers after the computer comes back from sleep.  I would have suggested you to update the BIOS, but you seem to be using the latest version of it. Apart from asking Asus about this, and reporting them about this potential BIOS bug, I'm not sure what can be done to get around this issue :(

Seems to be right - ASUS AI Suite doesn't show these sensors after sleep either (zeros)...

Gonna try to contact ASUS support.
