clm
Hi, I have a Dell Studio XPS 7100 and I have looked at the sensor temperature readings and I am afraid that I don't quite get what is meant. My confusion stems from the CPU reading being high (usually over 80 degrees C) with each of the 6 cores reading around 30-35 degrees C. Is this normal, or is there anything I need to do. I have had no errors or BSOD, etc - I'm just not 100% sure of what the readings mean. I think I have attached a screenshot. clm
Fiery
Do you have sensor readings in the BIOS Setup? If yes, then you can verify the CPU temperature there. I suspect the "CPU" temperature is an invalid reading on your motherboard, and either the "Motherboard" or "Aux" temperature may be the actual CPU temperature reading. clm
Hi, My BIOS does not have the facility to read sensor info. It is good to hear that my CPU isn't running exceptionally hot! Thanks for getting back so quickly. clm
