somespirit
AIDA64 (last version) doesn't show report for CPU Fan RPM in Sensor section - motherboard ASRock Z68 Pro3/i5-2500k i can see cpu fan rpm with ASRock eXtreme Tuner (there is 3-4 seconds delay to show up)
Fiery
Several ASRock boards use a proprietary fan mux logic to connect two fan readings into a single register. On such motherboards only the primary reading can be measued by AIDA64 and other 3rd party monitoring applications. Regards, Fiery
somespirit
so, you want to say that ASRock knows how to read the data but you don't ........... if i start ASRock eXtreme Tuner while it is running i start AIDA64 too and again in 3-4 seconds aida64 shows cpu fan rpm, so ................ Fiery
We do know how to adjust the necessary GPIO switches to switch between the 2 muxed fan readings on ASRock boards. However, the mux acts weirdly, e.g. it takes several seconds to safely have the mux switched. Such silly hardware solution simply doesn't fit into the hardware monitoring layer of AIDA64, which is designed to have an update rate of 1 second. As soon as ASRock retires the slow switching mux in favor of a proper solution, we'll be happy to implement that in our software.
somespirit
i see, but i think when you (aida64) detect such ASRock motherboard, you can add additional hardware monitoring layer (routine) which will works with ASRock things
