Capt Proton
Version 2.30.1800. Installed a MSI P55-GD85 motherboard (old one was DFI DK P55-t3eH9) and Asus GTX 590. Sensor readings are now all over the map. Reports Sys 1 fan speed as CPU (no CPU Fan, watercooling), only temp other than those related to the CPU is one called Aux, which bears no resemblance to any temp reported by Asus' Control Centre, GPU data reversed, i.e. GPU 1 data reported as GPU 2 and vice versa. Did not do fresh install with MB Change (both boards have same basic chips) What is the fix?
Fiery
1) Please copy-paste the full content of the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64 into this topic. 2) Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. 3) Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> SMBus Dump (Full). Copy-paste the full results into this topic. 4) If it's possible, please also post a screen shot that shows what temperature, fan speed and voltage values MSI Control Center measures. Alternatively, you can also note down all values you can see in the BIOS Setup, on the PC Health Status or HW Monitor page. Such data would provide an accurate reference for us. Using those dumps and data we can correct the sensor readings to make sure they provide accurate values on your motherboard. Thanks, Fiery

Capt Proton
1) Please copy-paste the full content of the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64 into this topic. Don't know how you expect me to do this. Used Prt Screen. Ctrl V made it appear in the reply box, however, when I click "Post" I just get an error message "Post_Too_Short" Please explain. Be specific and detailed.

Fiery
Thank you for the data. Please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1817wmksq1gtjrzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know how it works. Thanks, Fiery
Capt Proton
Better, however, CPU temp is bogus. It does not move even when I start up Intel Burn Test. Speedfan sees a temp, and Aida did before this, called Aux. It does move in line with what I would expect for a CPU temp. For some reason, it is reporting the fan speed and other data for GPU2 not GPU 1, but MSI Afterburner does that too. Better, thanks for the help. Looking for 100%, hope it can be achieved. Fiery
Previously you wrote Aux temperature doesn't associate with any reference temperatures, that's why we've removed it. Can you please post a screen shot that shows AIDA64 Sensor page and MSI Afterburner temperature readings side-by-side, so we can directly compare the values against each other? As for GPU1 vs GPU2, the difference in GPU ordering may be the explanation. AIDA64 orders GPUs based on their position on the PCI bus. So e.g. the GPU appearing on PCI bus#3 will come first, and the other GPU appearing on PCI bus#5 will be labelled GPU2. Other software may follow a different logic ordering GPUs. Capt Proton
I compared the Aux temp to MSI Control Centre, not Afterburner. Aux does not match up with anything there, but, that does not mean it is useless. Speedfan does show this temp as well, and reports it is one of three on the F71889A chip. This temp is probably the MOSFET temp, as it goes the highest except for the temps reported by the Intel sensors in the CPU Cores. In fact, at idle, it is higher than the CPU Sensor readings. This temp reads 38C when the CPU Sensors are reading 33C and 34C. The other two temps reported on the F71889A chip are one AIDA calls the Motherboard (I think t is the P55 chip, as it does not go very high when I run Prime or Intel Burn Test. Under 40C when the CPU Sensors are reporting anywhere from 55-60C) and the useless "CPU" Temp (always 22-24C, no matter what the computer is doing. Fiery
The issue will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta release that will go online later today.
Fiery
We've improved the sensor readings for your motherboard in the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1822hfxtpmdk4vzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Capt Proton
This really didn't work at all. 1. "Motherboard" temp is now the one that does not fluctuate more than a degree up or down and is not, to my mind, a real temp. 2. I now have "Temperature 1" through "Temperature 10" that all read about the same (within 2 degrees of each other) and move from 14 to 17 degrees or so. Nothign similar in Speedfan. 3. "CPU" temp is higher than the Core Temps when the CPU is idle, and below them when under load. 40C when Cores are around 30, 455 C when cores are 60. I believe this one was labelled Aux originally. Behaviour is more like the mosfets or, maybe, the P55 chip.
Fiery
Please make sure to compare CPU and Motherboard temperatures against MSI Control Center. We're certain the current solution should match MSI Control Center values. The 10 other temperatures are the MOSFET temperatures. Most monitoring software cannot measure them
Capt Proton
Your CPU Temp 10C more than Control Centre's. Your MB Temp does match Control Centre. It shows this is not your fault, as that Temp is still useless. Mosfet temps? 14-17 C? I wish. Hardware monitored temps at Mosfets in 30 - 45 range. Fiery
Your CPU Temp 10C more than Control Centre's. Can you see an exact 10C offset both at idle and under heavy system load? If so, then you can use the Correction feature of AIDA64 to substract 10C from the CPU temperature (AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Correction). Mosfet temps? 14-17 C? I wish. Hardware monitored temps at Mosfets in 30 - 45 range. Does MSI Control Center measure MOSFET temperatures? Or you referred to BIOS Setup temperature readings there? If so, then you can use the Correction feature of AIDA64 to substract 10C from the CPU temperature (AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Correction). Fair enough, except it still does not make sense. If I make the correction, temp is, at most, 40 while core temps are 60 + under load, which really doesn't make much sense. I know CPU temp is always lower than Core Temps, but not 20? Does MSI Control Center measure MOSFET temperatures? Or you referred to BIOS Setup temperature readings there? No, Control Centre does not measure MOSFET Temps. I am speaking about the temp probe for my fan controller that I have on them. So, the one you have labelled Motherboard is useless, ditch it. The one that started out as Aux is useful to me. I shall just reload my original version I guess.
Fiery
The old "Aux" temperature is now what AIDA64 reports as "CPU" temperature. It's the same reading. And please understand in AIDA64 we're just trying to report the same sensor values (or even more sensor readings if possible) as what the BIOS Setup or the manufacturer's own hardware monitoring software measures. If the measured temperature(s) match e.g. MSI Control Center, but they still don't make much sense to you, then it's not the fault of our software, but maybe your hardware measures incorrect or unreal values
