HELP with 480x1920 panel

Hi Everyone! NOOB , so I'd appreciate any help!

I'm trying to get a sensor panel up and running, but I just received my 480x1920 from ebay and cannot get it working. It powers up and is connected via HDMI. Windows recognizes it, but the display simply remains black. Some Googling pointed me in the direction of CRU (1.5.1), and while CRU seems to be pre-populated with all the necessary information for my display, when I hit "OK", and run the "Reset" application, still nothing happens. I'd like to use this both as a sensor panel, but was also thinking of putting a financial stock ticker or something down there when needed.

Can ANYONE with a 480x1920 panel please shed some light on what has to be configured (either through CRU or otherwise) to get this thing working? I'd like to purchase one or two more.... but not until I get at least one working.

THANKS in advance!

Your device seems to be a regular monitor where Windows Desktop could be extended onto.  Make sure to resolve that issue first, and after then you can simply use the SensorPanel module of AIDA64 to show your stats on the screen.

Hi Fiery!

Yeah, that's the part I need help with - resolving that first issue. It's not simply plug-and-play, and I've never worked with these devices before so I don't know what is normally done to get them to be usable in Windows. Again, some people have indicated they have to use CRU to pass through dedicated EDID settings, but there's hundreds of variables and I don't have any reference to start with (nor can I find any online).

I'm hoping someone who setup one of these 480x1920 devices might be able to explain how they get it to activate. As it stands, you can see it is powered up based on the backlight and the fact that Windows detects it, but it is not usable in Windows... there are no graphics that extend onto it. It is simply black and unusable.

I see. I'm afraid we haven't dealt with such a device before.  Maybe someone else can chime in who's already done it.
