  1. We've implemented temperature, fan speed and voltage correction in the following new beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition:

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1481xz1wg0rpkvzip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

You can configure the sensor correction feature in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Correction. Please note that this feature is not meant to be used to correct such situations when the wrong voltage rail is assigned for e.g. +5V or +12V readings. In such case adjusting the hardware monitoring module of AIDA64 is still necessary. The correction feature is meant to be used for slight corrections only, e.g. when the temperature diode of a HDD or SSD is slightly off, or when e.g. +0.05V offset has to be added to the Vcore voltage reading.

Let me know how it works.

  3. We've fixed and tweaked the Asus ATK BIOS settings detection module of AIDA64. Please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at:

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1481xz1wg0rpkvzip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

Let me know if it helps. If it still doesn't work as expected, then please create a new ISA Sensor Dump, and copy-paste it into this topic.

Please avoid opening multiple topics for the same issue. We've closed the other topic of yours, and continue dealing with this issue in this topic.

    Thanks,

    Fiery

  4. Thank you for the report submit. Please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at:

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1481xz1wg0rpkvzip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

Let me know how it works.

Please note that your motherboard cannot monitor a north bridge voltage or north bridge temperature simply because there's no north bridge chip on your motherboard ;) The Z68 chipset is a one-chip solution where there's only a south bridge chip on the motherboard called PCH (Platform Controller Hub).

  5. We've implemented support for Avast v5, Avast v6 and Kaspersky 2012. Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Business Edition or AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at:

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64businessbuild1481b4sdl8yknczip

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1481xz1wg0rpkvzip

    Thanks,

    Fiery

  6. We'll do some test runs with Avast v5 and v6, and fix the security software detection module of AIDA64 if necessary. I'll report back in this topic once we have a new AIDA64 beta for you to try.

    Thanks,

    Fiery

  7. Monitoring sensor status of multiple computers is not supported. But, if you log into a remote computer (a single computer), you can navigate to the Computer / Sensor page of the remote computer to see its sensor status.

    Regards,

    Fiery

  8. 1) Does the same issue happen if you launch AIDA64 with only the /SAFE command-line parameter?

    2) Can you tell me more about the actual system (hardware) where that issue happens? E.g. motherboard model, CPU type, any RAID arrays defined?

    Thanks,

    Fiery

  9. If it's possible, please install the latest version of the Asus AI Suite 2 application, restart your computer, and repeat the AIDA64 report submit. It will then include a dump AIDA64 makes via an AI Suite 2 module. After submitting the report, feel free to uninstall AI Suite 2 if you don't need it.

    Thanks,

    Fiery

  10. I do have a slightly differing opinion as to the SensorPanel Manager's "complexity". I believe it is more a case of requiring proper planning due to the pixel level formatting capability. As in all things, the more powerful a tool, the greater the control that must implemented.

Bottom line, I hope "simplifying" the user interface will not be at the expense of flexibility.;)

We of course want to keep the current layout, in order to give skilled users the maximum flexibility. On the new layout you would be able to switch from a standard (cleaner, easier, simpler) layout to the current (advanced, skilled) mode via a button or a combobox. We're still gathering user feedbacks, and will make a decision about the standard vs. advanced layout mode later on.

An alternative approach may be to keep the current "Sensor Item", "Static Label" and "Image" item types, and add a new one called "Simple Sensor Item". That new simpler item would not offer pixel-level adjustments, but only the adjustment of the following item properties: font type, text size, text color, bold/italic, show label, label, show unit, unit.

  11. Thank you. Please try to disable the following options in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Stability, and then restart AIDA64 and check if the Computer / Sensor page works now or not.

    - Apple SMC sensor support

    - Dell SMI sensor support

    - Koolance TMS-200 sensor support

    - Toshiba TVALZ sensor support

    - Volterra VT11xx sensor support

Let me know if it helps. If not, then please try to issue the following 2 dumps. No need to copy-paste them here, just check if they lock up.

    1) Right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA GPU Registers

    2) Right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA SMBus Dump

  12. As this is the "Brainstorming" sub-forum, I thought I would throw out a couple thoughts, which may have already been considered.

    1.Graphing function/object:

    > object height/width user specifiable

    > horizontal axis reflects user specifiable time period (limited by buffer requirements?)

    > vertical axis reflects user specifiable value OR selection to auto-scale to max value within the specified time period

    > x, y, grid & graph lines each reflect use definable weight and color

    > graph background reflects user definable color

    > vertical/horizontal labels reflect user specifiable font, font size & background colors

    > user specifiable graph title with all user definable font, size, color options

the ability to display multiple sensor values on a single graph is desirable.

perhaps a selection button in the Modify Item form specifying inclusion in the graph

the ability to define multiple graphs and assign sensor values to any defined graph would be the ultimate

this may require a graph be defined prior to assigning a sensor for graphing

    2. Gauges - similar to bar, but shows sweeping needle on a dial instead of a bar

    > object width user specifiable (height follows width to keep dial round)

    > min, max values same as bar

    > user specifiable radial dial marks

    > dial, needle, background colors and value/label formatting user definable

    > the dial background and/or needle change color as defined limits are passed

my 2 cents worth as it were.

    Dutch

Both visual elements are on our roadmaps, so as some new bar styles. Although, I cannot promise to have graphs with multiple items on it, since it may be a bit difficult for users to understand and properly configure it. The SensorPanel feature is already complicated, so at first we have to improve on that to make it more user-friendly and easier to set up. Only after that we can start expanding its capabilities.

  13. At first I thought that "Show SP" from the tray does not work, then I remembered that my Update Frequency for SP = 60 sec and it appears after 60 sec. This is good for reducing CPU usage, but bad for the show/hide SP. I think you'll have a lot of messages "Why Show SensorPanel does not work?" ;) It should not depend on Update Frequency.

You're right about that issue. We'll fix that in the next AIDA64 beta release.

    Thank you for the feedback.

  14. Thanks Fiery, yes I have AIDA64 loading at start up and with the main window hidden and if show sensor panel is checked it shows automatically which is fine, but I don't always want to have the sensor panel showing, so at the moment, if it's not showing I need to open main window again and run through the steps to make it show/not show.

So I just thought it might be good to have a toggle from the system tray AIDA64 icon popup menu or the ability to make a shortcut operable from the tray or desktop.

We've added the requested menu item into the AIDA64 System Tray icon right-click menu. Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at:

    http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1477kx8sd2yv3czip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

  15. In order to investigate this issue, we need to check the sensor readings and the GPU details.

    1) Please copy-paste the full content of the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64 into this topic.

    2) In case you have an ATI or AMD GPU: right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> ATI GPU Registers. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> ATI SMBus Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

    3) In case you have a nVIDIA GPU: right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA GPU Registers. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA SMBus Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

    Thanks,

    Fiery
