Fernando Gregoire
Dear AIDA64 developers: As you know, Windows 8 allows to set certain connections as measured, which helps to control network usage preventing things such as automatic device drivers downloading. It would be great if AIDA64 could be configured to disable NetUpdate automatic checking when the user is connected with a connection of that type. Obviously, this option should only be available when running AIDA64 on Windows 8 and perhaps Windows Server 2012. Thanks a lot for this great software! Fiery
AIDA64 uses standard Windows internert access API (wininet.dll) to download updates information and update packages using HTTP protocol. It uses standard Windows proxy configuration, but beyond that it has no control over the actual network adapter, network layer or network route Windows picks to download the necessary files from AIDA64 servers. So I'm afraid currently we cannot limit AIDA64 NetUpdate to specific network connections. Regards, Fiery
