Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P and AMD FX-4130

Hi there, I would like to report incorrect CPU temperature and voltage readings for this motherboard and/or CPU.

 

My config: GA-970A-DS3P, FX-4130, Enermax NAXN Basic Series 500W power supply, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, WD Blue 1TB SATA, Sapphire HD7750 1GB GDDR5

 

BIOS (UEFI) reads correct values (I think), which are approx. 22°C for CPU temp. and 12.24V for +12V rail.

AIDA64 reads approx. 8°C for CPU and 13.18V for +12V rail.

Sensor chip: ITE IT9728F

Note - these are only approximate readings.

 

Note that other software monitoring programs also report incorrect values. Also note that in BIOS (UEFI), CPU runs at full speed (3.8 GHz) while in Windows it's throttled down to 1.4 GHz (idle).

EDIT: Installed Gigabyte EasyTune 6 utility - it reports correct (BIOS-based) voltage values. Maybe this info could help you fix the issue in the next update. However, CPU still chills below 10°C.
