EmmEff
Hi, Please see image attached. I have Haswell i5 4670K clocked at 4.2Ghz @ 1.16v Vcore. I keep seeing these strange spikes in the clock readings. I was encoding video overnight and had Aida open to monitor the system. As you can see my temperatures are fine, so these spkies must last a fraction of a second. Any idea what would cause this? I have seen the same spkies while monitoring with OCCT open too. Thanks in advance.
Fiery
Those spikes could be because of unstable measurement of APIC clock -- which equals to BCLK on Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge and Haswell. Please let me know what motherboard do you have, what operating system do you have installed, and which software do you use to encode video, and we'll try to reproduce the issue on our test systems. Thanks, Fiery
