What exactly are these temperatures measuring? (Asus M4A87TD Evo)

Hello...

I'm new to AIDA and I'm trying to figure out what these temps are measuring exactly. I've looked around and I can't find the answer. I'm guessing that CPU is the cpu socket temp and maybe Motherboard is Northbridge temp?

I'm trying to chase down a temp problem that is causing my cpu to step down and I'm wondering if it's the northbridge. The motherboard is an ASUS M4A87TD EVO.

Thanks

Motherboard temperature is the surface temperature of the sensor chip that is mounted on your motherboard PCB. Your motherboard is not capable of monitoring south bridge or north bridge thermal status.
