Squall Leonhart
Every once in awhile with the latest beta version of Aida64, i am seeing it take a long time to create the tray icon and when it does so the icon is blank and does not open the GUI when clicked. on a bad start Stack looks like ntoskrnl.exe!KiSwapContext+0x7antoskrnl.exe!KiCommitThreadWait+0x1d2ntoskrnl.exe!KeWaitForSingleObject+0x19fntoskrnl.exe!KiSuspendThread+0x54ntoskrnl.exe!KiDeliverApc+0x201ntoskrnl.exe!KiCommitThreadWait+0x3ddntoskrnl.exe!KeWaitForSingleObject+0x19fwin32k.sys+0xcd8f7win32k.sys+0xcd999win32k.sys+0xe044entoskrnl.exe!KiSystemServiceCopyEnd+0x13wow64cpu.dll!CpupSyscallStub+0x9wow64cpu.dll!Thunk0Arg+0x5wow64.dll!RunCpuSimulation+0xawow64.dll!Wow64LdrpInitialize+0x42bntdll.dll!LdrpInitializeProcess+0x17e3ntdll.dll!??_C@_0BN@KLOBBEB@Enabling?5heap?5debug?5options?6?$AA@FNODOBFM@+0x280c0ntdll.dll!LdrInitializeThunk+0xeUSER32.dll!_NtUserWaitMessage@0+0x15aida64.exe+0x9b845aida64.exe+0x9ae9caida64.exe+0x81ec52ntdll.dll!___RtlUserThreadStart@8+0x70ntdll.dll!__RtlUserThreadStart@8+0x1b When Aida64 starts correctly the stack looks like this ntoskrnl.exe!KiSwapContext+0x7antoskrnl.exe!KeSignalGateBoostPriority+0x1c0wow64cpu.dll!CpupSyscallStub+0x9wow64cpu.dll!Thunk0Arg+0x5wow64.dll!RunCpuSimulation+0xawow64.dll!Wow64LdrpInitialize+0x42bntdll.dll!LdrpInitializeProcess+0x17e3ntdll.dll!??_C@_0BN@KLOBBEB@Enabling?5heap?5debug?5options?6?$AA@FNODOBFM@+0x280c0ntdll.dll!LdrInitializeThunk+0xeUSER32.dll!_NtUserWaitMessage@0+0x15aida64.exe+0x9b845aida64.exe+0x9ae9caida64.exe+0x81ec52ntdll.dll!___RtlUserThreadStart@8+0x70ntdll.dll!__RtlUserThreadStart@8+0x1b
Fiery
It looks as if something went south in the NT kernel, and not in the user mode modules like AIDA64.EXE or NTDLL.DLL. Please try to restart Windows, and see if it fixes it up.
Squall Leonhart
That is not the case, as if i terminate the aida64 process and start it again it will load without issue. This is only occuring since 2766 and higher. 2700 did not have this issue.
Fiery
That's still not something that would be related to AIDA64. The only thing changed since Build 2700 is that we've added a few more icons to AIDA64. If that makes your Windows installation acting silly, then it's quite odd, but not necesserily the fault of AIDA64
