The_Immortal Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hi there! Guys, I'm wondering is there a way to identify what's the supported memory (RAM) maximum of a notebook via AIDA64? I didn't find this info Thank you! Quote
Fiery Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 You may have that information listed on the Motherboard / Chipset page in AIDA64. If not, then please let me know the notebook model and CPU type. Regards, Fiery Quote
The_Immortal Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Fiery, unfortunately there is no such info on the Motherboard / Chipset page... The notebook is ASUS EEE PC 1005PXD. The CPU is Intel Atom N45. Can you tell me please how are you going to get the required info? Quote
Fiery Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Atom N450 supports a maximum of 2 GB system memory, according to Intel's site:http://ark.intel.com/products/42503/Intel-Atom-Processor-N450-512K-Cache-1_66-GHz Quote
The_Immortal Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Fiery, thank you so much! But could you tell me please why does the last version of AIDA64 (Engeneer edition) for this notebook show "4 GB" then? Quote
Fiery Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 It's a bug that will be fixed in the next beta update. The 4 GB is only valid for the desktop version of your CPU (codenamed Pineview-D, where "D" stands for desktop). 1 Quote
The_Immortal Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Fiery, I'm sorry, could please tell me what's the maximum RAM for other notebook with T7400 CPU? AIDA again shows "4 GB" but now I'm not sure if is it correct... And I don't know how to check it because there is no "Max Memory Size" on the CPU page... Quote
Fiery Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Core 2 Duo T7400 has no IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) in the CPU package, so I'd need to know the notebook model to find that out. Quote
