Dutch Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Installation stops when replacing kerneld.x64 After three attempts, I went to the folder and manually removed kerneld.x64, but the same error came on the next install attempt. Quote
Fiery Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Try to remove AIDA64.EXE as well, restart Windows, and try to install it again. Something got stuck about the kernel driver on your system. Quote
Dutch Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Closed AIDA64.exe, deleted AIDA64.exe, rebooted, deleted kerneld.x64... install completed successfully. Quote

Great, thank you for your feedback AIDA64 is supposed to stop and unload its kernel driver before initiating the upgrade process, but sometimes it gets stuck in the deep "bowels" of the Windows driver stack Quote
