wbmngr
The default SensorPanel temperature unit set by FinalWire is Celsius. If change it to Fahrenheit, temperature number is Fahrenheit, but the unit is still Celsius.
Fiery
SensorPanel is a bit different to the other hardware monitoring modules of AIDA64. After altering the Celsius/Fahrenheit option, you have to manually change the displayed unit text for each temperature SensorPanel item. wbmngr
But where "to manually change the displayed unit text for each temperature SensorPanel item"?
Fiery
You need to right-click on the sensor item you wish to modify, select Modify from the context menu, go to the Value / Unit tab, and change the Unit value cca. in the middle of the window. wbmngr
I have tried what you said in another way before: Right click on the Panel (not on the Panel item) and seek for a "one-click-for-all" solution. But it seems that does not work. What you mean is that one can only change one item each time? That is not a good idea.
Fiery
You can hold down the Ctrl key and use left-click to select multiple items. You can then use the right-click menu --> Modify to modify multiple items at once. The item property to be changed for all selected items will be marked with a red stripe. wbmngr
Are you serious? If you want to change SensorPanel temperature unit from Fahrenheit into Celsius, first you have to go to "File - Preferences - Hardware Monitoring" and select "Display temperatures in Fahrenheit", and then show the SensorPanel and... If you want to change SensorPanel temperature unit back into Fahrenheit, you have to do the opposite with so many clicks. Do you think that is a good idea? Another four problems: 1. "File - Preferences - Language": Why do you add native language names after its English language names? Those native language names can not be displayed just as they should be on any operating system of any language included in the language folder. It is annoying. The suggestion is: If there is no perfect solution, delete them. 2. How to display temperature symbol perfectly on any operating system of any language included in the language folder? 3. The default language version is in English, you should add other native language support in it. 4. If there is no perfect solution for the SensorPanel, delete it, or provide another version of AIDA64 without it.
Fiery
I'm sorry, but you are the first and only person who brought up those complaints. While you may have a point there, please understand that there is no perfect solution for most issues, due to technical limitations. E.g. AIDA64 is an ANSI software (non-Unicode), hence displaying native language names may be a problem if an incorrect ANSI codepage is used. For example, for Russian-speaking users usually the ANSI codepage for cyrillic character set is selected, and then their native language name is properly displayed -- for them the displaying of the native language name may come useful. We'll improve the way the temperature units are handled, although some of our users are already confused about the complexity of the SensorPanel item configuration panel. And adding one more option to the unit configuration will make it even more crowded... If there is no perfect solution for the SensorPanel, delete it, or provide another version of AIDA64 without it. Why would that make sense? Just because you don't like the SensorPanel, it doesn't mean it's useless.
wbmngr
Why not add an option in "File - Preferences - Language", such as "Display Native Language Names"? Maybe it is the best solution till now.
Fiery
Thank you for the suggestion. We'll transition to Unicode next year, and it will solve a lot of issues, including the looks of the Preferences / Language page.
