Weird chars in Simplified Chinese and some more

Recommended Posts

Hello.

These entries have abnormal chars such as .

line 54      All pages
line 70      Full &HTML Report
line 265    Video Adapters
line 270    Database Manager
line 271    %d reports
line 303    Checking for changes
line 307    Added

I attached the file I modified (just remove such chars) for comparing.

Another problem is, when I set Windows non-Unicode encoding to non-English language, (in my situation, Simplified Chinese) and set AIDA64 in SC, checking for update will get an irregular popup window as pic 1.

And language menu always has messy codes for the languages that are different with current non-Unicode setting (pic 2 and 3)

I suggest to provide UTF-8 support to deal with such encoding problem.

We will fix the abnormal chars in the Simplified Chinese language module issue as well as the incorrect strings displayed on the NetUpdate message box issue in the next AIDA64 beta update.

The name of languages cannot be fixed in the Preferences because that's just due to a limitation of AIDA64 being a non-Unicode application.
