I couldn’t rename a folder in windows. I turned aida64 off and it works fine. What’s causing this?

Are you sure it's related to AIDA64?  Have you tried to reproduce the issue by starting AIDA64 again and renaming the folder?

It keeps on doing it.

Changing the name of a folder gives me about 3 seconds then times out.

exit out of AIDA64 and it works perfectly fine. So yes this has to do with AIDA64.

1) What version+build of Windows 10 do you have installed?

2) What version+build of AIDA64 do you have installed?

3) Are you using the portable (ZIP package) version of AIDA64, or you've installed it using the self-installer (EXE) package?

Windows 10 New install - 20H2 -19042.746

AIDA64 - 6.32.5600

I believe it might have been a portable, since it was in a folder on my desktop and I had to move it and I thought that was weird.

ok so I downloaded the exe file and installed it that way and it doesn’t do it anymore. Thank you very much for your help, much appreciate it.
